Let's look at the facts. Apart from Fulham we have played presently top half teams. Two of which are probably top ten in the world. Liverpool we could have easily got a result. Man City, although United playing awful we could have snatched a point had a certain player tucked away his chance. Wolves who started the first game on the back of a decent previous season and are now in third. Leeds who started the season with momentum after promotion. Villa where we were very unfortunate with a missed pen and a player down. The Arse who are much better organised this season compared to last. That only leaves Fulham where we should have put them to the slaughter by half time.

On the players front, we are sadly missing JOC, Fleck and Mousset. Two of which should be returning by next month. By that time the new guys will have settled more. It will also give time for CWAK to have sorted the phycological side of the problems as well as players roles on what they should and should not be doing.

We will get results against teams in the lower half and that is something we can and will do. Wilder will get back his swagger, which will then rub off on his players. The pundits will be creaming how we've turned our season around. We will be Ok. Don't fret. We'll all be laughing at the end of the season how much we got our knickers in a twist with all the doom and gloom.

It aint the players pal, it's the way we are playing. 7 games 3 goals, 17 over a season? That's pish.

Agree with the OP, let’s hope the manager can do the same and get us playing a bit more positively. Convinced we’re not miles away but we do look in awe of teams still and showing far too much respect.

I can assure you that management want us to play more on the front foot, it's the players lack of confidence that comes with a bad run that's encouraging them into making more "safe" decisions.

We need one win and we'll see an immediate improvement

You want me to grow a pair of testicles so I'd have four testicles and somehow that'll help make me braver and better to deal with stress? Staggering around like a baboon with four balls hanging down?
Without making me google “do baboons have 4 bollocks” do they?!

This is all sounding a bit like the doom mongers versus the happy clappers all over again.
We all want our beloved Blades to succeed here and snap out of this trance they seem to be in.
I do agreed supporters by definition should be more optimistic about our chances of getting out of this predicament.
But also when we see the team you love making the same mistakes time and time again. It’s very hard not to be critical of the situation.

So do you think we will go down

I am afraid one of the people who needs to grow a pair is the manager and get us playing some attacking football again as we were 12 months ago.

Not always no. Dd you see the Man City game?
I did, and I saw Basham charging forwards on several occasions but never once heard Wilder or Knill screaming "wtf you doing Bash? Get back and stick to the game plan"

It's not the management that's turning us negative, it's a lack of confidence amongst the players.

How often after the game was Wilder complaining about players making poor decisions?

The players play the game and once they've crossed the white line there's bugger all that the management team can do to seriously influence the way they play.

Peep Show 👌😄

I'd love to see a video of you saying that to the manager's face (from at least 2 metres away).

Also I disagree with you.

Don't 'stagger' Roy, stand up straight and let them sway side to side, sure it would catch the ladies eyes. Eh!!!

So you do think we have been playing attacking football.

I would happily ask him to his face Why we have changed our mindset re attacking football And gone into a negative defensive shell.

Telling him he needs to grow a pair, to his face...

Also many other people, including Wilder, have mentioned it's players going into their shells. Hard to give evidence it's CW, considering he's playing the same formation and system.

If you saying the manager should get us playing more positively... why hasn’t he already?

Well we did it all the way through from League 1 to finishing 9th in the Prem last season.

It's very easy to argue this season's Premier League is the hardest ever, looking at the squad lists on paper.

But despite playing below par, we're only succumbing to one goal defeats. Doesn't need too much to change... The pessimism of some is uncalled for.

Fucks sake, and there's me hoping for a gardening thread!!!

FFS!

I hope youre right. Just checking, youre not even the slightest bit worried we might go down then?
