Although I'm really looking forward to the prospect of seeing how Sander might link up our play with Didsy on Sunday - if he doesn't pass the fitness test - Lys has the chance to put one over his old mates for the first time.

He didn't play back in early August as we worked on his conditioning (still a factor). The Cherries back line will of course know all about his blistering pace (but probably his weaknesses too).

Do we let Lys loose on them from the start or continue as an impact Sub vs tiring legs?

It would be nice to see Mousset proving a point against his old club - though I doubt Wilder would change his team selection based on something being nice.

Fortunately for Mousset, his cameo against Crystal Palace was very positive - you could more than justify it for footballing reasons.

I wasn't sure of the answer to this, so I asked my mate Brian from Mosborough and he said...

"You know what I used to do when I was managing? I used to put the initials "NC" on the changing room door - and it stood for "No Change" and believe you me, you should never change a winning team. And you know what I used to seh to my centre forward, I'd seh to him, "I don't care if you're the laziest man on the pitch, just go out and get me a goal" - and believe you me, it worked. It worked. Week in, week out. Never change a winning team".

(Ta Brian!)

So, I'm going to stick with what Brian has said and leave Mousset on the bench for the start of the game. I would expect him to come on in the second half though. I'd love to see both him and Zivkovic on the pitch at the same time. Bournemouth will think they've been fired at them out of a gun! I only hope the rest of the players can keep up with them.

McGoldrick is out isn't he? I thought I'd read that he suffered a setback this week? As much as I'd like to see him back in the team, at least we haven't missed his goals!
Anyhow, we should look to the future, always. An afternoon to savour I hope. One where we see the burgeoning skills of Berge.

I'm sure he'll start on Sunday because it's against Bournemouth his former club.

Not sure with gale force winds forecast that it's a day to lob it over the top for him to chase though.

His performances and fitness levels at the moment mean he’s only really an impact sub. Just how Bournmouth used him. But I could see CW starting him as he’s going to have a point to prove.

Start him alongside McBurnie with Billy or Ziv as the striker options from bench.

Sharp is unlikely to start again so who does that leave?

McGoldrick is unlikely to come straight back in.

So Mousset should start.

It's more viable to start him with Zivkovic on the bench, although I don't expect him to be yet. Maybe if McGoldrick isn't in the squad.

So Moose and McBurnie, who has done no wrong?

Sharp and one of Ziv or McGoldrick on the bench.

Mcburnie is probably the only striker thats a handful for 90min.
Anyone that wouldn't start him right now is crazy.
That’s me then 👍.

Its time to ditch the flat 3 in midfield in favour of a CAM against lower placed teams, especially at home. Dids or Freeman.

Behind Sharp and Moose would be optimal to start. McB off the bench as appropriate.

Wilder will start McB !!

If Billy is going to score another goal again this season surely its against the likes of Steve Cook and Bournemouth? He's already done it once.

Leave Moose for the bench, will be more dramatic for the lad if he comes on to make an impact against his former team.

The subs bench will be interesting this week if the other two newbies are fit and a available. Someone is going to be very disappointed.

Think Robinson and Freeman will be the ones they replace. It only gets tricky if McGoldrick’s fit.

My reaction too. Pre-Palace, in the full press conference Wilder explains the reasoning on why Callum Robinson was allowed to go and he talked about the form of the strikers as being a major factor, listing each one and ending with “and in particular Billy Sharp”. I think Wilder’s probably happy with how he and McBurnie have been doing. Thought Sharp was actually one of our better players in that poor first half last Saturday too.

I’d go Moose and Oli.

I thought Moose had looked off it for a few games. Off the pace and a bit sloppy but he looked a bit more like it against Palace and he’ll want to prove a point on Sunday.

As much as I love Billy and think he’s played well recently I prefer us with a bit more mobility to stretch games. Oli has been our best attacker recently imo so he has to play and think he looks better coming a bit deeper with some pace ahead of him.

If Bournemouth sit deep then definitely a game for Billy and Didzy off the bench to break em down

I think we've made far too many slow starts to games recently to risk doing the same again.

We won at Palace at the weekend but we didn't play anywhere near as well as we are capable of doing.

Start with Moose, bring him off after 60 if (ok, when) he's knackered. I assume Zivkovic has come to be a pacey option off the bench so it's possible to have pace on the pitch for a full 90 if we want to. Sharp and McBurnie have done well at times, however none of them has justified having to be on the pitch even if we have better options.

Horses for courses for me and the course on Sunday will be windy so lets play the forwards with the best chance of doing damage on the deck.

I think the reason Zivkovic has come in is so that we can start with the Moose and after 50/60 mins when we replace him we have the like for like pace option, to stop defenders pushing up the pitch like Manure did when Moose went off in that game. So I expect Moose and McB to start with Zivkovic replacing Moose in second half.

If McGoldrick is fit, then he starts for me. We carry much more of an attacking threat when he's in the team. Moose or Mcburnie at the side of him, with Sharp or Zivcovic on the bench.

If we can get Moose 100%,
Him and Oli have it all and could be a real force.
We have different types of attacking subs then in McGoldrick, Sharp and Billy Whizz if we need a plan B.

Ballmouth defence is old and slow (apart from Ake) I'd love to see Zivkovic and the Moose play together even if just for the last 20 minutes and cause all sorts of problems for the away side.

I wouldn’t start McBurnie when McGoldrick and Mousset are available.

McBurnie has looked better recently and long term he’ll have a lot to offer, but he currently offers very little compared to Mousset in my view. And Mousset is much better than him.

100% agree. McGoldricks a joy to behold for me. Meant to be fast this new lad Zivcovic
