That's what happens when you sit tight and bide your time, good lad. Hope he has his Hull City shooting boots on if he gets on the pitch.

I'd be surprised if he gets on ahead of Mousse, but no problem for me, we all know that Leon works hard and has done it before

Never mind the cart horse, how long before Billy's back ? :tumbleweed:

State of this. The bloke scored two against the pigs at the Sty and this is the respect he gets? Christ.

Glad he missed today. Would have been gutted that it got chalked off when he celebrated. Hopefully his last appearance of the season. Would prefer he was off on loan.

Had the chance to make himself a bigger hero than he already is - shame really

He was offside anyway so I'm glad it didn't go in.

Love Leon so happy he got a run, and didn't disgrace himself, better than he played Vs Sunderland anyway.

Wrong substitution in my view. What we needed was not another body up front but someone to help create better opportunities. Freeman on for Norwood moving up into the Duffy position would have been a better move.

The Clarke miss for me adds to the annoyance at Sharp’s needless red card, as really he’d have been the one on in that sort of situation. Clarke wasn’t even exactly up to being an impact sub for us last season – without wishing him any ill I hope we’re not in a situation where Clarke’s on the bench again this season.

I would have gone Freeman too. We were having success down the sides, an extra man to get it out quicker and maybe take a man on might have got us some better chances. He's a quick thinker.

Think CW and Leon had an agreement,if he got one start in premier, then he would look for another club can't see any other reason he was the preferred option from the bench.

I actually think Billy may have scored that chance. I just hope Wilder hasn't frozen him out. Deserves a run I think!

I’m hoping McBurnie will be the finisher but we need to create more chances for him.

At least McBurnie won't have to go up against a VVD every week.
He is the best CB in the league for me.He is such a good mix of everything. He is huge, fantastic in the air, strong ,fast, good tackler, good passer, decent dribbler as well.

Frozen him out ! He was awesome when he came on v Southampton , he's desperate to prove himself , we need to score goals he is the answer , either by assists them or doing what he does putting them away !

I think the role he's playing at the moment is a little more difficult for him to get into those positions. Can't fault his work rate in the games i've seen, but particularly yesterday, he was out wide a lot more, dragging the centre halves with him.

First half yesterday i thought he got a lot of the ball out wide and he showed he can run with the ball and create opportunities.

I actually thought Robinson was slightly disappointing again yesterday, i don't think he dragged his man around enough, he didn't seem to make the intelligent runs in the first half when McBurnie had the ball, either to put himself in or to create space for someone else...

Second half i think the McBurnie effect was minimised and he didn't seem to be as mobile, perhaps bringing freeman on for him in a deeper role, with Mousset and Robinson playing wider would've given more space up top for freeman and fleck... That said, Leon did well when he came in. Mousset also got plenty of the ball.

I'm looking forward to seeing McBurnie against Watford.

A goal in front of the Kop, on his premier League debut (and likely only cameo), to equalise late on against Liverpool, would have been a deserved and perfect way to bookend Leon's stint at the lane.

Sometimes, life just isn't fair. :(

thought leon looked lean mean and ready to go.. he never stopped moving and reminded me of the golden period leon
must have done well in training.. Wilder doesn’t do sentiment
