Leon

He is closing in on 50 Championship goals (he has 46). He has spent too long at lower league clubs but his Championship record isn’t bad. He’s a good finisher, always has been.

Just a shame he was on the losing side tonight.
Well played King Leon.

This season alone he’s ensured he will end his career as (at least) a championship striker. His reputation has never been better.

What a resurgence from a lower league journeyman.

PS get him drug tested

Like I said the other week, I don't know who this Leon Clarke is.

Are there any other Blades who have scored a hat trick and still been on the losing side?

Leon Clarke was awesome tonight. Bags a hat trick on the losing side. His transformation is down to his belief in his manager.

I think Real Madrid's recent downturn (relative) in La Liga (the real one) form can be explained very simply. We actually signed Ronaldo in summer, but in order to hide this from the authorities, he's playing in a Leon Clarke costume.

Being serious though, he's been nothing short of phenomenal since the last few games of last season. I'll hold my hands up and admit I thought he might struggle to be a regular starter this season once we'd gone up, but I'm delighted he's proved me wrong. Sharp is the public "face" of the team, being captain, and a local lad and a Blade, but Leon is unquestionably our main man up front at the moment. Unplayable and scoring apparently for fun. I'd be beyond delighted if he gets 25+ this season and fires us to promotion.

Apparently the first scorer of a hat trick gets to keep the match ball though.

Strong as an ox , defenders know the have been in a game when they have played against him , no stopping the man we need to keep feeding him .
