I’ve remember Billy Sharp scoring one under Blackwell in 2008, in fact I’ve just watched it again and it is classic Sharp, every goal being typical of most of the 222 he has scored throughout his career, absolutely timeless

Wrong I am, then! I was at that match.

Should we flog McGoldrick now then just in case he doesn't score many for the rest of the season?!

I love that pretty much each and every Leon post you've ever made with any kind of slight praise always contains a 'but' somewhere within it.

If we’d have sold Clarke a year ago with the season he was having, even for £3m say, I think that would have been universally criticised (apart from maybe one) and would have certainly been another thing to beat the board about.

Universally critised ? For sure.

Wrong ?...........

Wilder states he is not scared to make the big calls.

Touché :);)

Good luck to Leon (If he goes) Think he surpassed most peoples expectations and goes to prove as with others that age is just a number providing you look after yourself.

Leon Leon Leon

I do not want to hear that from anyone else in the Championship playing us.

He nearly always seems to get a goal against his previous sides.

I hope he stays.

Leon has always been about attitude. If he is fired up, or the opposition,
or the fans fire him up he becomes unplayable. If he is off his game he looks languid and lazy. I won't forget swillsboro last season and home to wolves last year. I think we should keep him till the summer unless a million pound plus bid comes in which could fund Hogan/Berahino on loan until the end of the season

Could and should still do a job for us. He offers something different up top.

We're meant to be getting bodies in not letting them go.

Hogan maybe but Berahino no way, got mates who are Stokies(apologies) and they realise he’s shit and a money grabbing one season wonder!

I'd like to know where we were in the league when Dean 'fucking' Saunders (08/12/98) & Gareth Taylor (26/11/98) were sold.

From my wiki searches he was sold on 8/12/98. We had 33 points by that point (from counting on the wiki page for that season). No idea where we were though

Berahino? Seriously?[/QUOTE]

No not seriously, he has pace to burn and i do think wilder and knill could revive him but I dont think he is on our wish list

I hope he stays too least till the end of the season he deserves a medal if we make it for his hard work and ‘those two ‘ against the deluded.
Still plenty in him this year but suppose a footballer needs to look after themselves money wise even if they are already millionaires.
Cheers Leon if you go same as someone else said legend like Bobby Davison with two against them and most of all our turnaround.
UTB GLTTL if it has to be

Unless its a club thats looking for someone:

a) to make an instant impact to give their promotion hopes a boost or
b) to get them out of the shit

then I don't see him going anywhere. He's got to be around the £12-15k pw mark so you can rule out a "routine" move where United are just looking to get him off their books. I reckon it could be Villa going for it to supplement Abraham in which case it would be a huge mistake on our part to release him.

You think Aston Villa want to sign Leon Clarke? Did you take a bump to the head recently?

He loves his chips and gravy he looks like Jorden's baby

leon to cov?
according to bbc, mark robbins expected to confirm loan signing a forward from the championship
