I think there is a place for both big lads in the squad next season.. whether they will be happy not being regular starters though is up to them..

I'd be happy with Sharpy, Clarkey, Hanny and erm, Lavvy up front..

Get rid of Mcnulty, Done and Scougall.. if a striker does become available that The manager wants great, But we can guarantee he won't get anyone just for the sake of it.... you hear me FLN?

I'll stand by my previous assertion that Clarke and Sharp are far from ideal for each other. The blend is not right. Bottom line is they are actually too similar.

Now.

If they can work as a strike force independent of each other, rather than working in tandem (if you get my drift), as has been evidenced in recent games, I'll take that.

It's just something I tend not to advocate as being viable longer term.

Looking at them against Chesterfield, Bradford and MK your comment of them being too similar is dismissed completely.

Looking at them most of the season you'd be justified in your comments

The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Leon and Billy are both proven 20 plus goals a season players in this division and I'd suggest that on the basis of stepping up to Championship level you'll see them both get 10-15. They both need to be more clinical but movement wise they will cause a lot of problems.

Hanson and Lavery both offer something different but you could probably assume 5-10 goals for them

None of the current strikers will be prolific in the Championship, but we can have a good spread of goals.

I'd be greedy and want a 20 goal striker, but that striker will cost 2-5million.

Personally I'd strengthen at the back and bring in a left mid, an attacking midfielder and perhaps another centre mid and then look at a striker

Does that mean you think our Midfield is not up to the job? Fleck and Coutts are, in my opinion and, Carruthers could be. I also feel that Duffy will be but only for, say, 70 mins in the Championship. Why bring in another three midfielders?

I do feel we need another centre back though cos I think EEL will be going back.

I also think another top quality (who, I don't know) striker, pacy and strong, will be needed.

I think the midfield of fleck and coutts, plus carruthers(from what I've seen of him) will be more than adequate, but it's going to be a hard season and we can't expect fleck and coutts not to get injured or lose form. So bolstering the options there would be necessary

At the back we have JoC and Wright, but we need Basham, Wilson and perhaps two more as back up

I'd expect us to double up in every position to keep things fresh and competitive
