"What would you say has been the one key factor, the driving force, of getting the side into the Championship?"

"The manager...hes different to a lot of managers I've worked with...It all stems from the manager, it's starts with him, and then as players, we follow"

Love this. UTB.

Wilder has been absolutely fantastic.

He's built a team from the ground up really.
He's transformed 3 or 4 players who looked as if they weren't up for it into real quality team men
He's provided motivation as can be seen every game; they work so hard when we don't have the ball.
And as he demonstrated last night, he can think on his feet to change it when it isn't working. He's done this several times now, including Charlton most recently. It's not just chucking on more forwards either is it?

Best manager we've had in an age.

Having played in under shit loads of managers, I suppose Clarke would know a thing or two about good and bad managers, so high praise indeed.

Chris Wilder has been the injection of life blood we have needed for years, Passionate as we are, and mad about the club as we all are, and can sell the club to a player on lower wages and get a higher performance in return, If it turns out he can walk on water, well I would not be surprised at all.

Leon sums Wilder up well but he himself summed up the job Wilder's done as well. Stop start season, really ruined by injuries, yet came on to have that impact in a huge game at a time we looked like we were gonna fall short. Excellent all round. Credit to the gaffer and Leon

Same here, I think he's come in for grief that he's never really deserved

completely agree , i think allot of fans (myself included if i'm honest ) have always had the opinion that Leon has been very moody and not a team player

however as i said at the match last night , CW has always talked him up about his attitide etc so he must be really trying and has been very unlucky with injuries
he showed tonight that he still has something to offer and put in a great shift

welll done Leon

is it too much next season potentially having both him and Hanson on the bench ? ( i really feel we must get another pacey cf who may cost a bit and you would think may be first choice with Billy, although Lavery def has potential )

i am sure we will buy atleast one CF bought so will be interesting what happens with Clarke

Hanson is new and hopefully will have the cheif affect next season!
Lavery could well start allot of matches with a full pre season behind him
you would expect billy to start
Mcnulty on the next train to Jockland

I think Clarke and Hanson could both have a role to play. Either could play in the championship if they're on top of their game. The reality is that neither will be able to play at that level when they're not in top form so CW will probably rotate them when their form drops off. I can see us having six strikers/forwards, possibly one or two who can also play a bit wider; Sharp, Lavery, Hanson and Clarke plus two new ones. That will do us for our first season back.

I thought Leon was great last night when he came on, he has a bit of pace for a big lad, and tricky feet, like a taller version of Lavery in some ways, and he knew where to be for the goal, back post tap in, lovely!

Fleck is the perfect example of a player who has lifted his game under a better manager.... plus Courts plus Freeman plus Bashan etc etc etc

It's down to simple communication , being clear and concise . Keep it simple , footballers aren't the sharpest in the cutlery drawer .

Also working good cop bad cop does help . Don't let us under estimate Knills role in all this love in .

Yeah I thought he did really well when he came on, similar to when he came on against Chessy at their place post injury. It's a shame he's had such a stop start season because I'm certain we've not seen the best of him, he's obviously decent at this level as his scoring record proves.

Totally agree we need some pace up front next season - think you've probably got a point about having quite a few strikers, particularly if a few are injury prone, plus Billy isn't getting any younger. Similar to with Warnock when we always had loads of strikers, none prolific but they all chipped in. We're also lucky in that we have goals throughout the team. Next season is going to be really interesting, seeing who can step up a level. Can't wait!! UTB.

I think i could be in the minority, but here goes.

I think we need 2 new strikers next season with raw pace. Watching last night i just can't see Hanson being up to the job next season and sadly i think Billy will be no more than an impact player at that level. Clarke did well last night but again, he is one of those players who turns very lazy when he plays a string of games. Again as an impact player he could do ok.

I have watched a bit of the lad Abrahams for Bristol City on loan from Chelsea. He has experience now of the Championship and has power and pace. He would be very good to have. As for another, i dont really know.

Every good manager improves there team after promotion and CW will be no different. It will make for some sad decisions as we all now have an affinity to this set of players, but needs must.
He has produced a cracking team to get us out of League one. Now he must do the same in the Championship. That will mean some of this years heros will miss out.

I can't see Tammy Abrahams going out on loan in the championship again. I think Chelsea will either loan him to a smaller PL club like they have with Ake or send him abroad. I do think we'd benefit from that type of player though.

Actually Fleck was Player of the Season for Coventry last season and has been a good performer for years. Shame we missed out on him when we almost signed him years ago.

Last night Coutts sprinted across to Wilder when beckoned across.

I remeber more than one occasion last season when he pretended he couldn't hear Adkins and took no more than two steps towards him.
