Well with the rumours being that Ched is off there, could a swap deal be a good bit of business for the Blades! N'Guessan and Tom Kennedy coming to us? Thoughts?

To me its a bad deal but we cant do nothing must because we are down

Good riddence to overpaid rubbish. Just need too get rid of yeates and a few other pieces of dead wood now

I believe Yeates was released about 2 months ago by Adams. Nothing official mentions it but since I found out he's never been near the first team...

N'Guessan would be a great signing I reckon, he always looked a class above in league 2. Think he'd be a great asset in league 1. Good left sided player who can play up top too.

for me, they can have evans for a million,,,,,,,,,,,,,but they have to take the following as part of the deal; simmo, doyle, collins, yeates, taylor and cresswell and if they cant get in the leicester team they can get them peeling the spuds in the crisp factory !!!!!!!! its the only thing i can think of, that they could be any use for

Evans will do well at a club that plays progressive football through midfield.

Billy Sharp mark II for me.

What a waste

I agree with that, I think Evans could have scored a lot of goals if we had given him the service, and I beleive that he will go elsewhere and prove it. Wasted opportunity by us not him...

Completely disagree.
He is very limited (decent shot is about it) and does not take up good positions.
He hides in a game and never seems to go for a header - cannot remember him scoring one - can you?
Playing in a team that plays progressive football will not change this if he does not read the situation and get into a decent scoring position for the pass to reach him.

Yet he somehow managed 10 goals in 28 games for Norwich in the Championship a few years ago. Wonder why that could be?

He might have been lucky, and that year was not a reflection of his true ability. He might have "lost it" in some way since then. The evidence - both statistical and visual - suggests that what we have seen from him is his true talent level.

Evans managed 9 goals this season. How many of those came in the handful of games that Reid was playing for us? 4? It does suggest to me that he would be more prolific with better service.

And it's funny that so many of the criticisms of Evans were the same as those aimed at Sharp when he was here. Look how well he's doing now.

Evans and Sharp in the same sentence? Not in the same league!

Sharp has an excellent scoring record at every other club he's played for - better than one in 2 games. And this is not small sample size - that's 90 or so goals, from memory. Evans has nothing like that on his CV.

As for better service, Evans had the same service as Cresswell in 2009-10 and couldn't do much with it.

i have said it before and i will say it again,if the strikers dont get the service they aint never going to score, you could put messi and rooney and ronaldo in the blades side and they would not score, until the board wake up and see what we all see week in week out that they need a quality midfielder nothings going to change
