Opinions are like a@@holes, we all have one, doesn't mean they aren't full of sh1t sometimes. He's 22, experienced and is scoring goals. With the right coaching and tactics, he'll be fine. He's got 18 games or fick him!!!! Joking

Oli McBurnie - £17mil goal scoring flop
Callum Robinson - £8mil goal scoring flop
Lys Mousset - £10mil goal scoring flop
Rhian Brewster - £24mil goal scoring flop

£59mil spent with little goals in return. In fact only 42 goals between them. That's more than £1.4mil per goal in return.

Tom Cannon - can he break the mould and not be a big money flop of a striker?

we shall see but wish some on here would let him get his coat off before judging him . If after six months and he turns out to be a flop then i can understand it but he has not kick a bloody ball yet . Remember Coventry fans telling us the two we got from them were crap ,Turned out to be sour grapes .

The reviews of him from Stoke make him sound like Brewster at Swansea.

Oh well, we shall see.

I wouldn't say mcburnie and definetly mouett were flops
Think it depends on the context of how much you think ten and seventeen million buys and by the same thought process Robinson did his job as well
If you expect sub twenty milllion pound players to score as many as halland and slash who would cost hundreds of millions then maybe you're thought process is a bit skewed
Also Brewster didn't cost 24 million it was more like seventeen

Cheers Roy!

Reminds me of how this forum talked about McBurnie most of the time.

Doesn't bother me too much what other fans think but he clearly splits opinion.

That said, when you've just splurged £13million in the second tier you'd hope comments would be overwhelmingly positive!

"so painfully unintelligent" & "impossible to coach" - sure 😂
I have to say that this quote specifically worried me. It probably was because I came away from yesterday‘s interview with the feeling that he doesn’t sound very bright or articulate. We shall see, I guess… 🤭🍒

I take my lead from Beans on Bladespod who is not particularly enthused about signing Cannon, especially for such a substantial amount. He was excited about the signing of Campbell so I'd say he can see a good signing.
It sounds like Cannon is not suited to playing as a lone striker so it'll be interesting to see if Wilder changes his new standard format to get the best out of him.
