making 2 new features for the Leicester build up videos. Looking for people to share their memories of “that day” winning promotion at Filbert Street & looking for people to name a player they would love to steal from Leicester & give a brief reason as to why! Get in touch if you want to take part

hoping to make something that will help put some of us in a better mood as fixtures at the moment are looked forward to about as much as a trip to the dentist!

get in touch at

Was it 1971 when a youth was in the centre circle with half a dozen bobbies on him and the infamous match of the day comment 'and this is the sickening face of football today'

I kinda like that Lineker Road, has now become a place where people just dump there Sh!t.
its not quite Sir Brian Clough Way is it
Glad they got relegated
In all honesty, as a fan I preferred Filbert Street to there new stadium must say the rooms/hospitality have been fitted out
to an amazing high standard

I lived round the corner from Filbert Street when I was a student there...when O'Neill was Manager and they were doing really well. Saw them play Atletico Madrid. After I left Leicester was when they then moved. The new ground is completely soulless. They need clappers and horns playing hunting music to try to inject noise. Be interesting if they stay out if the Prem for a while if crowds hold up. They used to get 11-15k pre Pre Prem days in the 90s.

Same. Jarrom street. 1990. I was found on the street by a friend, who really had to help me home, never been so drunk :D

Amazing! I too lived round the corner, on Brazil Street ‘94-‘95. Used to get free tickets for reserve games through the door. A housemate was a forest fan so we went when they came down. Think that was the season they finished 3rd under frank clark, so they’d got a decent side. Collymore & Roy up front & Stone pulling the strings in the middle. Think Collymore scored a couple but none of his teammates celebrated with him. Just strolled back to their own half. Also went as an away fan when the Blades came down. Spent the entire match taking the piss out of Jason Lee & Julian Oakes (ex pig), who tbf took it on the chin. Won the game. Patterson had a blinder.

I was a bit later..96-99...used to go to The Western Pub...run by Dion Dublins brother who looked just like him. Gary Linekers Dad still ran the fruit and veg stall on the market too. Not been back for a few years so was hoping they'd stay up. Happy memories of places like The Fan Club and the Charlotte pub etc. Saw some good gigs in Leicester but United were never in the same league when I was there as Leicester went up the year I started. Funny place though. Not sure many stay there like they do in Sheff and other places when studying. All my housenates/friends left as soon as they graduated. Even when we meet up now we tend to meet in London where most of them are.

I was there a lot earlier, 83-87 but lived off Belgrave Road, Victoria Jubilee pub was our local. Never really went down the Filbert Street area and we never played them while I was there. I was more into getting the train back to Sheff on Saturday lunchtimes to go to BDTBL.
