Leicester, Everton, Southampton

Beat those three and we'll finish fifth.

55pts currently, plus 9pts = 64pts

Leicester's last three games: Blades, Spurs, Man Utd.

Man Utd are scoring for fun, Leicester won't get anything at Old Trafford, that leaves them with 3pts if they beat Spurs.

59pts currently. plus 3pts = 62pts

Now don't get me wrong, it's a massive, massive ask, and I couldn't really give a shit if we lose the last three after the season we've had, but it's food for thought.

Going to be a nail-biting end to the season if we can get a result Thursday.

But it will come to pass that those two points Goal Line Technology bummed us for will shit all down the back of our suit and deny us anything but muted praise from the daft-as-arses BBC MOTD team at the end of the season.

If we play with conviction we've played with since cup defeat then I can't see us dropping points to any of our remaining opponents. Mac attack on fire and our wingbacks owe Mr Wilder a few goals. We're limited going forward my arse!
 
Before the Wolves game, I predicted a possible 5 points from our last 5 games. Two games, and six points later, WTF do I know?
I still think home advantage will serve us well against a strong Everton side, our heart rate will earn us a point at Leicester, and our hardest remaining fixture will be at Southampton.
 
It's possible, but it will take a lot of things to align in order for us to make it.

Given our recent results and form I actually don't think it's out of the question that we win our remaining games. Unlikely, but not outrageous. We have something about us at the moment. That said, I think all 3 of our remaining opponents work harder than both Spurs and Chelsea, which will make them very tough games.

To get results in these will require a performance more like the Wolves game where we will have to really dig in, and show quality at the right moment.

Dare to dream, but only in the back of my mind. Really the only way is to take it one game at a time and enjoy what has been such a fantastic season overall (despite the interruptions).
 
For the first time since the restart, we actually have an additional day’s rest on our next opponent too. I think that in itself will be useful to us and interesting to see if it goes in our favour.
 
I can’t see us winning all of those games.

we are going to need Wolves, Arsenal and Spurs to also drop points to stay where we are now.

We have a chance mind, we are now playing more like how we did pre Covid, but it’s going to be a huge ask to get anything from the two away games.

I will take 5 points and hope that’s enough to get us a Europa spot. Need Man City to keep their European ban.
 
Looking at the run-in that Leicester and Chelsea have has made me more confident. They both have quite a few games against teams in the table around them (obviously us being one of them).

I think if we can get any points from the game on Thursday, we will do it.
 



Hawkeye must be praying that we finish either side of that 2 point deficit - positive or negative. I’m not saying we will (or should) take legal action, but I should imagine there’s some squeaky bums in their boardroom.
 
It will be interesting to see how this thread looks after todays games.

I'd expect Leicester to roll over Bournemouth but if they don't, putting Leicester in our sights isn't unrealistic. They have a tough 2 final games.

Looking at the teams in the shake up for European football, nearly all the contenders have tough run ins, including us. If Burnley get better Wolves they may well be dark horse for 6th spot
 
If we can beat Leicester who are in horrendous form, we’ve got a massive chance of getting 5th.
With Everton and Southampton after who won’t have anything to play for, so hopefully will be on there jolly’s
 
Leicester were an absolute car crash earlier, and with Söyüncü now out, I fancy them to be quite vulnerable at the back.

No doubt twat face will score against us though.

Especially for McBurnie and Berge. They both looked shattered when they were subbed against Chelsea.
Other than that, we thrive on “fixture congestion”. Keep these busy times coming.
 
we now must finish top half as Everton can match our points with 3 wins but cant see them overhauling the 16 goal difference
obviously win our last 3 now we finish at least 7th which should be a Europa spot

Chelsea have to face Liverpool away and wolves at home Wolves also have to go to Burnley
Leicester have to go to Spurs and play man utd at home all good for us

5th could become an option with the right results

Worst case scenario:
Arsenal win FA Cup finish 14th in league. (EL)
Chelsea win CL finish 8th in league. (CL)
Wolves win EL finish 10th in league. (CL)
Liverpool 1st(CL), Man City 2nd(CL), Man Utd 3rd (EL).
4th place for a Europa League spot!
