And he did sign Christian Nade and Kazim-Richards, two players - who with the right support and teamates around them would definitely have been as effective as Adel Taraabt.

This however is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. Getting rid of him was right. Replacing him with a twat and giving him all the hard earned money was the error. Obviously!

Wow. Just wow.
United's single biggest screw up in the last 10 year was appointing Robson. Not renewing the contract of the manager whose tactics and signings were at least partially responsible for relegation, and who had taken 7 years to get us up the first time round, was a defensible decision.
Do you really think Crouch is an utter waste ? The way they play I think Crouch will guarantee Stoke another couple of years in the premiership ,I think Pulis has been given the backing Warnock wasn't and he is doing a great job.
Just for the record, I regard Dave Bassett a lot more highly than i'll ever regard Warnock. He achieved a lot more than Warnock ever did, on a lot less money wise.
It's like Groundhog day on here, will all the usual about Warnock.

Bassett did a superb job, and was responsdible for my best day in football at Lecicester when the fortunes of Sheffield football switched for the first time in my life.
I do believe that Bassett couldn't replicate what he did in today's market where money talks so much, so it's difficult to compare. I've also always felt that our fortunes were enormously thanks to Deane and Agana - credit to Basset for unearthing them, but with all one off's there's a suspicion of an element of luck.
Either way, both legends for me, but neither have endeared me to them after they left the lane.
UTB
The key thing about Bassett was that he always had an eye for an player, and i struggle to think of many poor Bassett signings, whilst the Warnock poor signing's were numerous
