Apparently my late ex father in law (who was east European) used to stand over the ex when she was young and force her to write with her right hand as he considered doing it other road was a sign of witchcraft.

I still married her though despite this early warning. There's just no helping some people is there?

My Avatar, born 1929, left handed, and a schoolboy, was, also chastised and physically punished, wrap on knuckles with ruler, to use his right hand.
His hand writing was legible but very untidy in later life, and his general demeanor, as a whole, quiet and reserved, though always ready with, an opinion, especially about 'The Blades'.

Twenty years ago the comments on this thread would have been very different.

I too was naturally left handed XM657 and my mum decided that would hold me back in life and kept making me write right handed. So now I'm right handed and left footed.
