I an commenting on the amount of left backs we've got. We've got Taylor, LJF, Williams and hill who could be on the verge of signing permanently according to this article. How many left backs do we need?

That article says nothing of the sort. There's nothing in there that suggests we want to sign him permanently.

Snark aside, I thought Williams was an odd signing given LJF was passable and Taylor was returning, and it looks particularly daft now he's injured when we need him for the first time.

I think we can only say we've got 2 left backs available. Taylor and Williams.

LJF will be out for a year or so, I'd be inclined to say he may not play for us again dependent on the length of his contract. Hill would be a last resort in that position I suspect, think he's more of a central player.
