So after the well deserved victory last week against Reading, it's the short trip to Elland Road tonight for the televised game versus Leeds. Sure to be a keenly contested Yorkshire derby, with both sides flying high. Expect this to be a really tough game, but if we show anything like the quality we showed at Hillsborough there's every chance we can get something tonight....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Stearman ready to make a return?

Lavery on the bench?

Keep the same starting lineup?

Big test for our lads tonight, but with the chance to go top they'll definitely be up for it. A slight rub of the green and our fifth win in six games is definitely possible. While I'd love too see that, I think a 2-2 draw is my prediction, breaking our long run without a draw. Be loud Blades, and be safe.

I'd be half tempted to do what we did vs Wendy. Bash in the middle with ccv wright and J O'C at the back. Bash provided hight in the middle of the park so he won every header for coutts and fleck to win the 2nd ball and drive on.

Obviously I want to see us go for it, but for me I'd be happy to keep it to 0 0 at half time and then go and win it in the 2nd half with Duffy coming on, for wright, and providing that touch of class.

I lived in Leeds for 5 years. Would love to do one over on those dirty West Yorkshire bastards

After that pondering changes video on iFollow, we're either putting out an unchanged team or making a fair amount of changes.

The Wednesday set up could be a good one plus Stearman back if he's fit enough, but if we play like we did against Reading, you'd have to say keep it as is, Duffy running in squaring balls across the penalty area, maybe JOC breaks his duck on the far post. Can we finally go top on the 4th attempt?

Tell you what though, it'll be a hard game but I'm bloody looking forward to it. What a joy it is watching United under Wilder.

Best memory of a Leeds game was the one where Jags scored the screamer. Not just because of the game but because a few days later I was in a meeting in London with a potential new supplier. At the time I worked for a major UK corporation that has something to do with phones... Anyway, the supplier is already 20 minutes late and me and three colleagues are getting a bit pissed off despite a call from him saying he's on his way. He comes into the room eventually, coffee in hand (he was late but still had time to get a coffee). Whilst waiting I'm looking at the Blades' website on my laptop which happens to be up on the projector screen too.

Anyway, supplier comments "Oh, I didn't realise you were a Blade. I support Leeds so maybe we shouldn't be doing business together." or words to that affect. He was joking of course and I laughed, but one of my other colleagues also happened to be a Blade and was really, really pissed off by his lateness. So he turns to the Supplier and says "in that case, that's the end of the meeting." and gets up and walks out.

The supplier shit himself when the rest of us walked out and offered to walk him back down to reception... Class.

Depends which Leeds turns up for me - the good Leeds and i reckon we'll see our first draw, the Leeds that turned up against the pigs then we'll win comfortably.

'Working from one' today so I can get an early start up to Leeds. God knows how long it's going to take to get across Sheffield to the M1 at 4pm!!??

It's not like the schools break up for half term today or anything is it....

Line up predictions:

Wiedwald

Ayling Jansson Cooper Anita

Phillips O'Kane

Alioski Saiz Hernandez

Game prediction: Excellent. 9/10. End to end, attacking, very competitive, 3 goals or more.

Confidence level: Medium high.

Score prediction: Undisclosed.

Is there anyone else thinking CW might just refer to the starting line up/formation we played against the pigs - it just worked.

as a reminder it was a proper 3-5-2, not our usual 3-4-1-2 with Brooks/Leon up top with Bash sitting to the right of Coutts with Fleck to the left.

We are going to get changes for Leeds and/or QPR - but who, where, what, when?

Wouldn't surprise me to see Carruthers start at QPR, with Brooks behind Donaldson.

Leeds are fuck all these days, have been for years. We've beaten better teams than them this year. 2-0 to us, or more probably 2-1 with a customary late goal just to get the nerves jangling and keep us in check.

I tipped Leeds for auto after watching them at the start of this season. They might not be a shoe-in for top two, but don't let us kid ourselves this isn't going to be a tough game. I guarantee it won't be 0-0 and a stifling stulltifying 90 minute bore zone like last season's play-offs; there's goals in this for sure. Hopeful, but a draw will satisfy me. Fingers crossed.

Good if we are unchanged it shows we are going for it.

Confident Duffy will get space to cause havoc here..

Just saw a young lad with a new Laver hat walking into Bellend Road on Sky. I’m sitting here wearing mine at home - a bit warm but it’s on 100% wins so far so I can’t change a winning hat!

The Magic is Back

What a great start. He just scored against his old club Billy Sharp ;);););)
