Wasn't sure beforehand, but as the goals rolled in I realised I very much wanted Leeds to win this one.

Pigs will be delighted at losing 3-0 I imagine - 'we were brilliant', 'still got best manager in league', 'at least we didn't get thrashed'

Even though Leeds were below par they still seem to get forward create chances.

I want Leeds to win 14,000 - nil, leaving the oinkers so badly demoralised that they don't score another goal all season and tumble down the leagues into obscurity.
If it means we finish second so be it!!
Failing that, a pigs win wouldn't go amiss.

Not quite the 14,000 I was hoping for.
Still, 3-0 will do :)

Goal average !! Showing your age there mate .
Ah! Sadly it comes to us all if mistakes are pointed out in a proper manor, instead of sarcasm and you may or may not know what is said about sarcasm, mate.
Pray, SSM, what is the present term for what was known as 'goal average'. I have heard of 'goal difference' being bandied around from time to time, what terminology should I have used?

There was no sarcasm or disrespect intended in my comment. I`m an old `un too, and well remember the days of goal average. It was changed to goal difference in 1975. The idea was to encourage attacking football, but I`m not sure it made things change too much. However, three points for a win introduced in 1981, I think did change the outlook of most clubs as time went on.

I have replied but not linked it to your comment, so it`s available for you to read. (damned computers !)

Utd's first 3 points for a win was a 1-0 win at Wigan in the old Div 4 from memory.
Second game of the season after we had drawn our first game of the season at home to Hereford.
Memory is fading now but I think that is correct?
I have been wracking my brains for who scored it though. Part of my dusty brain is telling me MacPhail.
Silent???

What about Burnley v Leeds on Monday. Which is the bigger threat?
