He talked about why he went with a back-5 though. Honestly I think we set up OK.

But the basic in-possession mistakes by players and the lack of energy and intensity compared to Leeds was huge.

Regarding individual player selections, I always bite my tongue when criticising this as we don’t see what happens in training.

Well,this is where a lot of fans opinions are differing with his,he is taking flak for the set up,but he's deflecting some of it on to individual players and performance in the game.

And I agree with him. Whilst stood there last night, people were groaning about set up pre game, and then later what changes he should make and when, but mainly groaning all game about poor individual play.

There was a lot of poor play last night and a lot of unforced errors, especially bringing the ball out and not being able to beat the press,but this has been a feature of our game for a while now and it doesn't seem to be improving against the better sides, opponents are going to watch this game and use it as a template to beat us in the future,so we definitely need to tidy this aspect of giving the ball away cheaply and our opponents are straight on the front foot and at us.
Boro are going to fully exploit that in a few days so let's see if we can improve on last nights mistakes or it's going to keep on costing us against the better teams.

Wilder’s comments are pretty much as i saw it,we would have had to play very well to get anything from the game and unfortunately we didn’t.I have seen enough so far this season to be fairly confident we will manage a top six finish,which will be an excellent achievement after last seasons fiasco.
