Plus his attitude in the past hasn't been the greatest in terms of team bonding.

Well to be fair, everybody says that about Koumas and we would all have him here in a flash.

Infact we could of in the summer if warnock had any balls.

Yeah but warnock didnt have any balls.

Actually in the prem if we had robson we would of probably got the players needed to keep us up. :)

If Webber could shoot straight we would still be in the Premiership with money to spend. Our weakness was always mid-field, if Robson had thought our team was good enough - and I think it was - I'm not sure there would really have been any difference. But it's easy to speculate.

I think the opposite. I think he believed in what he had created too much, and didn't want to admit any weakness. We all know we needed someone in the middle, because Tonge's head was so far down he was looking up to Melbourne if nothing else, and that most of the strikers we had weren't up to the job.

I just think back to what he said after we were promoted, about how he felt after the Millwall game the previous year*, and how much he carried that sentiment on, i.e. "I bloody did it, now shut up."

*I thought the reception he got after that Millwall game was vile and atrocious too.

Hendrie keen on Boro switch

Lee Hendrie claims Middlesbrough have joined the likes of Derby, Sheffield United and Stoke in the race for his signature.

The 30-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer after being released by Aston Villa at the end of last season and the midfielder claims eight teams are interested in him.

He has previously spoken of his admiration for Derby and Sheffield United and enjoyed a successful loan spell at Stoke last term, but has revealed his former Villa team-mate Gareth Southgate is the latest manager to enquire about his services.

He told the News of the World: "Middlesbrough are the latest club to make an enquiry - there has been interest from eight.

"I know Gareth well and admit it would be very tempting.

"I'd like to stay in the Premiership and think I can still do a job here.

"I hope to get a deal done with someone soon."

Looks like he may stay in the prem then.

From the star.......

Hendrie met Sheffield United officials yesterday to discuss the possibility of a move to South Yorkshire after being deemed surplus to requirements by Aston Villa.

Robson, whose side continue their preparations for the new season when they travel to Ireland later this week, wants to add four new players to his squad before the Championship opener on August 11 against Colchester and, having answered Hendrie's 'come and get me' plea, it appears that his shopping list could shortly be whittled down to three.

Hendrie, who has also been linked with Middlesbrough and Rangers, has made no secret of his admiration for the United manager in recent interviews but how news of his possible arrival will affect Robson's interest in Celtic's Thomas Gravesen remains unknown.

Seems Hendrie is not as sought after as he makes out to be hey.
