Right....we spend so many years trying to get back into the Premier and then we get the chance to play the Champions Chelsea.

They have some of the best players in the world.....we have a good first half....etc............

What do our fans do?

Loads leave early......why?

Makes you wonder why they bother coming.

its there desicion though if they wanna fuck off and miss crucial parts of the match then fuck em

I thought that too.

You pay lot of money out to go at half time, lol. We usually give a bit of abuse by singing, you'll never beat the traffic.

Always stay to the death, bloke near me arrived yesterday 10 mins late and left 10 mins early.
Another left 10 mins before half time, came back five mins into the second half and left again 10 mins early.
Whats the bloody point going if your gonna do that?

The only match I have ever left early was on tuesday, just after the last Brum goal went in. But league matches? Never. For the people tahat leave early to avoid traffic, a few pointers.
1. On a saturday afternoon, Sheffield is always busy. The council cannot be bothered building decent roads, they are too busy donating money to money-wasting schemes.
2 . Where is it so vastly urgent for you to go? It's the weekend, relax.
3. The pubs open quite late, so I am told, so no rush there.
4. You early leavers ARE the traffic!

Never ever left early never would unless their was a family problem and it was an emergency etc...

I think that if people wish to leave early that is up to them, i'm personally sick of the one-upmanship of certain fans trying to outblade one another and pass judgement over what makes a good fan.

Who are you to say what people do while they are at a match?

I always stay till the end, but i wasn't impressed with the game and can understand why people chose to leave.

I wasn't trying for oneupmanship. I see it as like the Cinema or a Play or even the World Snooker you wouldn't leave before the end of them would you cos you could miss something really good that you don't know is going to happen.
Plus it's a waste of money paying 100% and only watching about 75%.

I know where you are coming from, and i apologise if i sounded a little rash. I've just endured a weekend of moaning blades fans predicting the decline of the club so am still on the deffensive.

If people want to waste their money that is their business, they are obviously fine with it and as long as they pay their money then so am i.

Would you stay in a cinema to watch a film you didn't like just because you paid for it? Its swings and roundabouts and comes down to your personality at the end of the day.

I'd agree with that mostly, but it depends why you go to the matches. If you're going to be entertained, Sensi draws comparisons to a play or Cinema, then of course it's your choice to leave when you want. But if you're going to Support your team, to sing and cheer and get behind the lads, surely you should do this for every second of the game.

I suppose in reality most people fall somewhere in the middle of those two.

I think I've only left early a couple of times, and i think it was due to us getting stuffed on both accounts and I'd had enough of the pain.

I think the point is that it doesn't just affect their enjoyment of the game, it affects everyone around when early leavers expect you to suspend your watching of the game while you move so they can get past. Then, invariably, stand on the gangway whilst something "exciting" happens so everyone behind has an obstructed view... before pissing off home to whinge :)

The way some people went off you'd think they couldn't sit still for 5 minutes, never mind 45!

I admit that constantly standing up for late comers is a pain but its always gonna be the case, they get there just deserts in games like Liverpool when the half time beer guzzlers missed Hulse's goal. Not to mention the boro game when most of the early leavers missed what is likely to be the high point of our season.
