I've not seen the game, only read the reports.

Disappointing, a real opportunity to put a gap between us and third missed. Doesn't sound like we played well at all.

I haven't enjoyed the football much this season, and have said that on here before. It's effective but not entertaining.

My point isn't about yesterday really, its more about the people on here who roll out extreme views after one defeat. Such as sacking the manager because we lost a game. I'm not saying they shouldn't be on the forum, or that I'm a massive Blade (not sure which 🔔 end thought that), just all the posters with the extreme views or ridiculous agendas have their own section.

Like speakers corner.

For rational posters, we can avoid this bit, and not have to get riled by extreme reactions after one disappointing defeat.
But a team in second place going to a relegation haunted side and being totally outplayed is ok, I'd just like your view on the actual football as opposed to calling the fan base?

A dribble and a full bladder are both acceptable. We had an opportunity to return to the top of the Championship yesterday. Opening up a 4 point gap on Leeds and further undermining Burnley’s confidence in themselves. However, due to an unacceptable performance we did not do that despite the incentive being there. If Sheffield United had got 3 points regardless of the performance this post would not exist. At this point of the season we need to be getting 3 points every time we play due to the nature of other teams around us and their points tally. We need to be creating a comfortable space for ourselves, so if performances like yesterday do happen we are not looking over our shoulders for which we are now doing. We all want promotion to the Premier League and to be a successful team in the Premiership with a long term goal of staying there. Therefore performances like yesterday invites pressure instead of alleviating it. Hence “ Bed wetting.” We all want the same thing for our club. “Success.”
"WE" don't ALL, want promotion to the premier league.👍
Not until it becomes a version designed for the benefit of fans, rather than money worshipping emptyheaded knobsocks with the moral compass of a chimpanzee on heat.
So that's never then,sadly.🙄

Today's performance was fucking dire, we've set our stall out as a team that's organised, robust, good at football and pretty hard to beat. We have for me the strongest squad in the league and yet today, we rock up at Oxford, one of the crappest teams in the league

look at most teams run ins when the pressures on

teams at the top losing to strugglers is more common than losing to direct opponents
last season for instance
ipswich last season lost at cardiff end of march
leicester lost at millwall and plymouth in april
southampton lost in april to cardiff and stoke

its football , all teams have a day off from being on song

after watching football for 60 years its never changed

in 89 90 we got hammered a leeds 0-4 just 4 games from the end of season but still only lost our on the title on gd

I've no problem with any threads, positive or negative. You can choose to comment or ignore them. It would be better if shoutbox was moved off the main screen whilst matches are being played. I get drawn in to the fuckwittery of it all simply because it's there for all to see. The nonsense spouted in there whilst the games in progress is painful and embarrassing.

I never really understand who make the comments when a match is in progress - are they actually at the game or watching on TV or some dodgy stream. When I'm at matches I rarely think about posting comments and don't look at comments as I'm actually watching the game.
I was at home on Saturday and was sucked into looking at comments. It seems to me several posters have a stock of ready comments and put minimal effort into what they are saying. As for scapegoats there always has to be one - JLT, Brewster and now Cannon spring to mind.
As for putting people on ignore - I tried that for the first time recently, but found that replies were meaningless so I ended up looking at the ignored post and concluded ignoring is a waste of time

Could you imagine being in the trenches in WW1 with some of the whingers on here. The first time something went bang they'd lose their minds.

Leave B56 Nick and Frank out of this

Sadly money talks and corrupts. I would like to see our top league modelled on the Premiership Rugby ethics and criteria.
