Living in North London, today's Wimbledon game was effectively a home game for us (to reinforce the point we even ended up in the the Home end). We drove to the ground. Apparently it is 15.4 miles from us as the crow flies. But not as the crow drives. We left at the final whistle, were at the car just after five, and arrived back home at a quarter to eight. Admittedly we stopped off for fish and chips en route (take away not eat in, mind - and we ate it once we got home), but 2 hours 45 minutes? Jeez. We can get to Bramall Lane quicker. Which begs the question, what is the least local local game you’ve ever been to?
