Looking certs now that Bolton, Charlton, and MKD will be joining us in the dead man's league next term, does that make it a tougher prospect than the season just ending?

On paper you would have to say yes, Charlton or MKD will, I expect, be intalled as favourites for automatic by the bookies which at least gets that monkey off our back. I don't know the details of the Bolton buy out whether it clears their debts but it's another big name down here.

We have missed the golden chance this season and no mistake.

They're "big" clubs, relatively speaking. But Bolton & Charlton are in disarray, a bit like Blackpool this season.

Franchise will be dangerous next time round, I reckon - can see their experience of higher level football benefitting them.

Tougher looking next season already.

Charlton have had some good results in amongst a wretched season and being a London club will be able to attract the best seaon long loans from the top clubs such as Spurs, Chelsea etc.

MKD will depend a lot on if Robinson stays or not, he's been a big part of the project there.

Don't forget the teams coming up. Northampton and Oxford will mount a challenge as well I think.

Then there's the likes of Millwall, Bradford, Barnsley and Coventry to think about.

It'll be harder, no doubt.

We've fucked up massively this season. An open goal for promotion and we missed it.

If we get to the level we should do next season though we'll be up there. The relegated sides are rarely outstanding, and others expected to contend regularly underachieve, like Coventry this season.

Fuck knows what'll happen though. I just hope we're competing at the top end and have a team to be hopeful about.

Better see as better than 15th as OK?

If the league is going to be stronger next season and as we seem to go backwards each season +15th could be our target.

I see.. Well I have said I think we could finish anywhere from 5th to 15th next season, the hardest one to predict yet.
