It will be almost impossible for the top 4 not to get into the play offs. Two of them will finish in the auto places obviously. At the moment I would say Wigan and Walsall.

With Coventry faltering there are 5 or so clubs playing for 5th and 6th including us.

Wigan have the money in parachute payments to significantly challenge with their signings.

It would be great if we can beat them next time out but we need to not get too disheartened if we don't.

All to play for (well a playoff place anyway)

our draw at blackpool looks a bit less desperate as some made out after they beat gillingham

its tough on Clough at rochdale, Coventry poor run gathers pace
and well done crewe holding millwall

big shout out to all the blades fans who saw us losing to shrewsbury as a new low
Wednesday very kindly made that look less of a calamity , havent they

all in all not bad
and Barnsley , winning again
shows teams that were playing shite CAN go on a winning run

its not the impossibility some make out

Now's the time to capitalise if ever there was one. Or we could just dwindle back into mid table as those around us are able to make better use of their newly improved squads - particularly Wigan. Hope I'm wrong but the evidence suggests the latter.

Do you really fancy this squad to win the play offs? In your heart of hearts? Really?

Shrewsbury v Pigs sums up why the FA cup is still great, love it.....

....also still laughin.

I havent even looked at the results yet. I've been to watch York City in action.

92nd placed York played with an attacking urgency that I only wish we had.

why not
who saw barnsley going on this run , we just got to time clicking just right

I could be miserable and gloomy , but what joy is there in that
have a bit of hope ,, its free

The only positive to come of this season will be seeing blade too long cough up £40.

no chance , even more positive after todays results

that was poignant last night
reminding me derby were top of the championship with 13 games left , but didnt even make the play offs last season
shows theres a long long long way to go

Realism.

Apart from Sharp and Brayford we have a team of very slow very poor players. I would suggest None of the other Play off candidates would take any but those two infront of any of their players.

If we had really gone for it and signed four quality players in this window then I could summon up some optimism for the run in, but if we did scrape a play off spot with this team it would be to no avail cos they just aren't good enough, that's just a fact.

weve shown we can compete with any of the top clubs
to win the play offs you dont even have to win games , only penalty shoot outs

were yeovil good enough hell no
and why do you go on like we will never improve
weve lost one in 10, if we get 10 per cent better could be enough
results over performances
plenty of others have done it like that

I do hate picking you up on stupid fucking points that you insist on making go have a go at the club, but when we're we a mid table club?

We also only won one in the last month, Is Dean Hammond going to gain two yards of pace for the run in? Is Chris Basham going to contribute a dozen goals from midfield? Is Sammon going to be the powerful leader of the line we so desperately need? Is Woolford going to turn into a quality creative winger.

Those are the things what need to happen if we aren't going to sign anyone.

And the current game between Liverpool and West Ham with two foreign managers resting their best players sums up everything that has gone wrong with it.
Don't think that them being foreign has anything to do with it, more likely Liverpool's ridiculous fixture list
