Lavery

Have I missed something? What's Caolan Lavery's situation?

As far as I can tell, he's not gone out on loan, he's not injured, but he hasn't been assigned a squad number either. Is he part of the proposed deal with Waghorn or something?

I thought he was very unlucky last season. He came back in when Leon got suspended and I thought he was playing really well in the game against Derby, even getting an 'assist' for the own goal and then he suffered that horrific facial injury in that game. It was right in front of where I was sat in the SS and you could hear the crack of bone. Obviously ended the season on loan at Rotherham.

Anyone know anything more?

I wanted him to do well, but he hasn’t made the grade has he? I think this ship has sailed.

That's the bit you need to look at . Tells it's own story .

Next .

Got to look at goals per 90, not just appearances. Over 20 of those 30 games he came on as sub, it's pretty ****ing hard to average out as a 20 goal a season striker if you're getting 10 minutes a game

Barnsley, Bradford or Doncaster would be ideal moves for him. GLTTL. Seems a thoroughly decent fellow.

Anyone reckon Barnsley might make a loan move from Lavery now Bradshaw is heading to Millwall? Different type of striker, granted, but wouldn't be the worst signing for a League One side.

I clicked on here hoping he was off, fingers crossed he goes to play football somewhere other than our under 23's.
For his sake aswell as ours.

I'd say it would only be a good move if we actually sign one or two strikers this week.

At least he finally got a squad number (30) and was on the bench, which I guess shows where our current playing resources are at.

I particularly like this quote from CW...

“The players of these islands are more focused than the Spaniards or Brazilians to travel on a Tuesday night to Bolton and fight not only against the rival but against the wind, rain and cold. That in the dressing room we speak a single language peroni's integration and a climate of friendship.”

He could be a lucky omen for some league 1 team he has been promoted each of the last 2 seasons from league 1. But it speaks volumes that neither one kept him so hopefully Barnsley or Donny on loan will benefit from him and keep him on

He's done a good job for us and never let us down, but unfortunately I think he needs to find a club where he'll get games
If we are to stay in the Championship, or improve in the Championship, or go up from the Championship we need to be constantly bringing in better and better players.
This unfortunately leaves some collateral damage behind

Needs a loan to L1 to see what he can actually do with a run of games, probably not got what it takes at this level but may as well see now we have him.

Good honest pro always seems on the periphery of things outcast with pigs. Needs to playing regular his age league 2 his level i think

I see what you did with « peronis » there. Strange article that. CW makes good points but can’t see how it relates to Brexit

I think Donny rovers would be a good fit for Lavery.
