Oh yeah, but some place, some where, there is a retard actually thinking that.
No doubt, I think some fans want him to fail for some bizarre reason.

No it did not; neither did I mention Clarke!
It's another of those "fucking 'ell, he's right" moments I'm afraid. In this case, it was quite inevitable. I've suffered plenty of mediocre triers. I know one when I see one.

No, you didn't mention Clarke, but the reason I did is because the whole "should Done start or not" argument was because Clarke was the alternative...and where did that get us? Not as many points.

Only if you regard Runaround Nogoals as more important than Sheffield United. Just putting another silly Bladey Myth to bed, that's all. You'll thank me one day.

I thought it was because his running around to no effect like a demented Jack Russell was, in some strange S2 way, fundamental to our success. Now, several impressive performances and victories later...
Pinchy at Leicester 1990Pinchy , I genuinely don't think anyone really gives a fuck who's getting the goals or where they are coming from , aside from you .
If we are winning and we continue to do so With real style and panache it's all any of us want . If Done's in , great . If not , great . The team is all that matters .
Celebrate an outstanding display from Sheffield United today . You know it makes sense .
Can't everyone just agree with him so he can move onto the next blades player he refuses to support ?I thought it was because his running around to no effect like a demented Jack Russell was, in some strange S2 way, fundamental to our success. Begs the question, "should sharp get a starting place?"
159 minutes without scoring and no sign of Wilder subbing him. Managers Favourite?
The success of this Blades team is its ability to press teams high. In the worse case scenario we kill them with possession football, as they struggle to progress into our half, and eventually run out of gas. The worst case scenario for them, is we win the ball back close to their goal, with laser like counter attacks in which attackers and midfielders are involved. Our easy possession comes from our midfielders having to do very little in terms of winning the ball back, and possessing the technical ability to keep it effectively and move it quickly. We rarely get involved in midfield scraps as the strikers have essentially negotiated this "battle" for us. This is good, as this is both Coutts and Flecks worst attribute - the less running and battling they do the better. Save your legs for destruction boys, let the strikers and Duffy get the ball back. Done is a player who helps the team win the ball high, but is much less effective when contributing to our possession football or finishing the chances. Lavery is proving that he has the physical attributes Done has, and more of the finishing ability and technical attributes he doesn't. It is absolutely no surprise to me (I predicted it on here months ago) that he hasn't got in the team until he has done a lot of fitness work behind the scenes. Sheffield United's strikers are now the first line of defense. Run and close down the opposition on the edge of their box,, or enjoy the bench, the gym, or the stiffs. The obvious progression would be a big, tall, strong fast striker. They're hard to find, but it may be essential to flourish in the league above with this style. Also huge credit must go to Matt Prestridge, for the drastic improvements in the fitness of the players. This style simply wouldn't have been possible in recent years.
Maybe it's the angle but that's some reight height he's got on that jump!
Think you make a very valid point about the new fitness coach. Utd are on a different level now fitnesd wise compared to where they have been for years.
Some recent seasons it has been embarrassing how unfit Utd were compared to the opposition and many times when they needed to up the anti and put metal to the floor for the last 10 or 15 mins of a game, there was simply nothing there and the side had either run out ideas or steam. Yes we had some poor players then but it was more than that...they were relatively unfit as well.
No excuse for that, you might not be able to afford the best technical players, but as a coaching team/manager you can get your team super fit and fitter than most others. Adkins and Weirs teams was dreadful for this and some were blowing out their arses just after half time. Bad bad management.
Luckily CW has em fit as a butchers dog and theres no coincidence that we tend to score most our goals second half and score so many late goals. Well done to the entire coaching team including the fitness lad.
Got a good leap on him!!
He's shown that leap plenty of times when challenging for headers. Which is a real bonus.
Apparently there was a song for him yesterday. Anybody know what it was?
