Inevitable - I heard the crash as much as I saw it , when he put all his power into the shot which fatty Gerrard blocked.

That's a shame but the timing could have been a whole lot worse as it doesn't look like we'll need him for the rest of the season. Gives him proper recovery time till next season as well.

If we get the main job done over the next two games, I'd love to see someone from the youth set-up given a chance. Any candidates?

Or are we having Matty Done back? :D

No doubt the club will ensure that Lavery's spirits are lifted as he begins his recovery. A good signing who has shown good potential so far. Maybe not as good as some imagine, but still a decent player for us.

Not sure what more you could expect from a youngster in his first season. Pace, power and a trick or two. Works for me.

The fella looks a very promising player but he's played nowhere near enough football for a player of his age. If we sign someone in summer who leapfrogs him then it looks like another false dawn for him.

I just hope he gets a run and pops a few past our neighbours next year.

Shame for the lad, hope it's not too serious and they just don't see the need to get him back.

I hope it doesn't jeopardise his preseason. He's been playing catch up all this season, and fitness is an obvious requirement of the strikers in our setup.

First season or not, players are judged on what they bring to games. So far Lavery has done well, but for me the jury's out, we may have seen just a glimpse of his talent and I hope he has it within him to impose his talent on opposing defences. Time, as usual, will tell if there's more to come from the lad.

Gutted as he is a nice option to have real pace and always has a go, hopefully full fit for next season to score against the pigs.

Have no fear, we have the great Leon Clarke to fill in for Lavery. With Leon's blistering pace and goal scoring ability Coventry will shitting themselves at the prospect of facing their former player.

Shame for the lad. Was starting to look good after a ropey start.

With a good pre season under his belt, he may be more than useful next term.
