The fella looks a very promising player but he's played nowhere near enough football for a player of his age. If we sign someone in summer who leapfrogs him then it looks like another false dawn for him.

I just hope he gets a run and pops a few past our neighbours next year.

I hope it doesn't jeopardise his preseason. He's been playing catch up all this season, and fitness is an obvious requirement of the strikers in our setup.

I think this is a blow, when sharp or hanson get tired, he was a handy replacement . Chased down players from the front. Saying that maybe Chapman is getting close to being picked, and we can throw him on instead

He's been one of my favourite players this season. He's made a vital contribution.

First season or not, players are judged on what they bring to games. So far Lavery has done well, but for me the jury's out, we may have seen just a glimpse of his talent and I hope he has it within him to impose his talent on opposing defences. Time, as usual, will tell if there's more to come from the lad.
