To be fair he knew that was the least embarrassing option for him.

Staying on his feet, looking up, and attempting an accurate cross that missed the keeper (or side netting) may well have proved a far more taxing proposition than hitting the deck and looking like a complete twat.

He's good at tackling and a whole hearted player and I love his runs forrard. Just wish Baldock could cross the ball after Bash passes it off to him.

Basham commits a lunging tackle into every single 1v1 he has and loses 9/10 of them. He is often beat easily and really is a liability. I do believe he has a spot of brilliance in him, he can make a great run and works incredibly hard. But he's just not good enough for me

I've seen mistakes from him, but he's a decent player at this level.

That’s great! I’m a big fan of his at Centre Half but never been impressed with him in midfield, but it’s good to hear.
