You don’t know there is a lack of activity. I suspect there is a lot of activity going on, but as yet no results of that activity have been announced.

My main concern is that we play in a certain way which takes a while for players to adjust to. If we're going to bring them in a week or two before the season starts, then they won't be ready for the start of the season. I'd rather we spend the time getting the best players we can in, but in a perfect world they;d be here now. I'm sure Chris wishes they were all here now as well. It must be a tricky business given our wage structure.
