Less than a month to the big kick-off and the complete lack of rumour activity says it all about our club. We sit back and watch all our rivals pick off the best hearsay and snippets whilst we sit on our hands until the rumour has spread like wildfire.

So far Wigan have had 73 rumours to our 8. It's pitiful. Even the likes of Barnsley and Port Vale have had more spurious links than us. These are the worst Press Officers we have ever had in my lifetime.

We need young, fresh, vibrant rumourmongers, not the tired old has-been journeymen just making up mediocre links for a last pay day. Young tyros who will leave no stone unturned in bringing us the latest and the daftest.
