19 days til the transfer window closes and 4 days since we got pummeled 1-4 and the only "rumours" with any legs seemingly are a S Korean Right-back who the club have already confirmed interest in, Godfrey and Zatterstrom - quite uninspiring. Can we at least have some sense of hope that we might be in for someone decent and exciting before it's all dashed on 1st september? Bit of a buzz in here some more threads flagged as an optimistic "incoming?" rather than "player suggestion"? is that too much to ask??

That's the bit that's always bothered me. The club always make excuses saying that the targets we're after don't become available until late in the window. By then other clubs have signed more and sometimes better players than us. Our transfer windows have been shite for years and this needs urgent addressing by the owners. Different season. Different manager. Different owners. Same old shit. What's the recurring ever present?

You can, if you’ve got shit loads of money to throw at it, things tend to speed up a bit.

I assume we need to maximise our budget and can’t just pay more than players are worth to get a deal done quicker.

I, for one, am pleased at the lack of leaks from the new regime and find it somewhat reassuring. Spanish accountants, tinpot journalists and mates of the managers should not be the route that transfer updates and even tactics are conveyed.
I would be very happy if the first I hear of signings is once they’re confirmed.

We're not signing someone before Saturday. Even when we've kept things quiet they usually leak the night before when it's all agreed bar the medical.

Then you’ve got McBurnie that was leaked, and the Swedish CB that’s been leaked. But I get it, the only thing keeping some of us sane is hoping we announce some signings out of the blue.

I reckon Norwich will be same as last season and just flirt with the play-offs, so we should be aiming for better.

If they end up getting promoted then fair enough. We’ll see

I'm not talking about where they finish but what they have done in this window in response to statements its not easy to bring players in unless you are loaded.

Still time for us to sort it out but we need 2 CBs and we need them now. It's not on to be throwing 18 year olds to the lions and potentially setting their careers back months.

I’m just saying that we probably could bring in players of that calibre a lot more easily. The players you mentioned signed for Norwich so doesn’t exactly make me think they’re good enough for a team aiming for promotion!

Players we want are hopefully better and potentially harder to sign.

It’s all really really worrying. They are either skint or brain dead! Not sure which is better.

Starting this season so underprepared.

Other teams can sign players but we have to wait till transfer window closes.

Only we could get worse owners than we had before.

Be even better when pigs get a half decent owners next time around.

I watched some of Norwich's first game and that Topic looks a player. Similar to Soumare. Not up to speed but at times it looked very easy for him.

I get the no rumours because no Wilder hypothesis. But it could also be, no rumours because we're not actually going to sign anyone.
There does appear to be rumours about players that are leaving, then they actually leave.
Maybe just retire the Rumour Thread altogether?
