Must admit I want Spurs ,Kyles a blade Vardy is a pig ,plus I know Kyles Mum and Dad so a bit biased. And I enjoyed Spurs last year away ,liked their fans and their proper stadium ,not like the Walkerbowl.
The only things about Leicester are the manager and Kante ,who I love as a player.
Cue Python's Romans sketch.........................................and the fabulous curry's on the Golden mile.

Don't you have a bit if a soft spot for them with how many young Englishmen they have in the side?
Although I seem to remember you mentioning you aren't an England fan either.

The England thing is hard to explain but I'll try.

I know I should support England as it's the country of my birth just like I'm a Blade because Sheffield is my home city.

But there's an attitude attached to England which I can't abide. The sheer arrogance amongst the fans, the schizophrenic hype in the media, this sense that we have a divine right to be the greatest footballing nation on Earth, the knuckle-dragging "Engerland" element that we have.

Basically England remind me too much of Wednesday.

Funny how looking at the fixtures, especially if you want Leicester to win, that's it's easy to rationalise that the points gap is too much given what fixtures are remaining.

Then on the other hand you find yourself hoping that United can somehow go against all reason and overcome a similar points tally to sneak in the play offs!

Football fans, eh?!

It's the unpredictability that makes it interesting. Logically we won't get near the playoffs and Spurs won't win the title but football isn't logical.

Agggggh, you beat me to it, I almost said all those attributes remind me of Wednesday.
It's hard to disagree to be honest.
Like with united I find myself dissalusdioned with them sometimes, but being a the sucker for punishment- il always buy into the hype each tournament.

amazing

no one wants to even discuss Walker as he is a Spurs player

dont remember this being the case when Murphy became a Brighton player, some couldnt shut the fuck up about him

we sold both we move on, no longer one of us feck em

Not particularly bothered who wins the league as I don't care for either club (or any other of the 91 or any football club anywhere in the world for that matter).
However, if Kyle Walker (for it was he mentioned specifically in the title of the thread) is there holding the trophy that will raise a smile with me. Well done Blade.

I suspect you weren't spending too much time on forums when we sold the Kyles then. I seem to remember the odd post suggesting it wasn't a great move for us.

I have a soft spot for Spurs. They won the 1st Cup Final I ever saw on TV in 1961 with a fantastic team. I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st visit to WHL, taking in a few pints in the boozer near Liverpool St Station with Foxy and a few others on here and then onto the Noodle takeaway outside the ground. Mauricio Pochettino has got them playing good football with good English players He also said some very complimentary things about the Team and the fans after the 2 legs.

Agree with every word of that. Plus, I could never bring myself to support a team containing the likes of John Terry, Ashley Cole and various other complete wankers to have "graced" the shirt over the years.

Think that Jonny foreigner Argentinian manager would not have been so complimentary if Spurs had lost .

Easy to be nice when you have won.

That was also the first Cup Final that Bert ever saw, on the little black and white telly. A year later they bought Bert's hero Jimmy Greaves. What is there not to like about them?

Had a bit of a fall out with one of Kyle's mates in town a couple of years back. Kyle intervened and was saying something to me, I said " thing is Kyle" and he said " how do you know my name?" I said " we're all blades here Kyle"

Immediately diffused the situation and we all made up.

I tried it the week after with my bank manager when I was overdrawn but he just looked at me funny.

but whats the point
once they are somewhere else its no point wobbling over it
aint one of us no more,

Spurs, whom this post refers to , lost Gareth Bale , not long back

theyve got on with it , quite well as it happens , good players leave every club

why is it only ours that has a continuous blame culture

We aren't. There are loads of clubs out there who are bemoaning their current plight on selling their better players. Aston Villa for one. Could MK Dons have spent the Deli Ali money in a way that kept them up this season? Both the wankers I work with who support them think so.

You can sell good players and if you replace them correctly the initial pain goes away (as you say Gareth Bale). However, if you have a culture of selling and replacing with worse, and it works out badly, then you are going to get pelters.

but why has the incoming been so lax , who do we believe
the board say the backing was there to find replacements ,
as Baptiste now fitter shows just one decent addition has added so much
why wasnt greater effort made , other than the forlorn devoid of outcome chases we made
why was no alternatives sought, if we knew it was touch and go getting Burn and others surely back ups should be in place
