Kyle was interviewed straight after match last night and said playing in final for England might be better than playing for Sheffield United in play off final or about as good. All the other things he has won and that was what he referenced as comparable. And he was immense last night.

Hope the result is better

It's hard not to take the blades tinted specs of when it comes to Kyle, but he's been excellent for club and country especially this tournament.

Pep is unsentimental about players if they don't meet his elite standards and KW has been a regular for City so that's as high an appraisal as a player can get.

should have had a cert penalty at wembley in that play off final with burnley kyle was syched down in front of us pity that idiot blackwell insulted the ref the week before cant remember his name we were well beaten but he gave us nothing that day

Kyle Walker was phenomenal last night. Didn't put a foot wrong, but more than that - justified his selection very early on when he covered around the back to prevent a 1-on-1 after a simple ball over the top had caught out our high line. He's a brilliant sweeper & his experience is starting to really show now.

He's been the star player of the England team for me, him and Ramsdale. ;) Seriously been most consistent, hardly any gaffs and must have saved the defence countless times.

Yeah, he was superb. He’s matured now, knows his strengths and weaknesses and understands the game. Still got his pace too. Absolute class.

Both Warnock and Blackwell were stupid enough to insult the refs due to take our games
Had they kept their big mouths shut or remembers that old saying that it’s easier to slide on grease than gravel. Dean might have applied a degree of fairness towards us
The guy is only human and he just might have been getting his own back years he has
I have to concede that in recent years he has been one of the better officials taking our games

He has been very, very fair to us since. Notably vs. Rotherham at home (Maguire Pen) and Bolton at home (Sharp Pen).

Remember him being on the Peter crouch podcast and him name checking Wilder as one of the most respectful referees in the division…..and guess what, I think he’s been excellent whenever he’s referred us over the last couple of seasons so there may just be something in that.

Another brilliant interview from Kyle-
Getting England to the final on a par with his 1st playoff final against Burnley
