Kop nobhead

Why?

In the past when members on here have suggested reporting someone’s inappropriate behaviour they have been called a “grass” by others. Personally I think calling out and reporting it is the right thing to do, but some people don’t. They are a small part of the wider problem in society where people behave however they like without any worry of the consequences of their actions and others deem it fine to ignore it and especially not to report it.

Anyway, I followed up this morning and rang the club, the nice lady I spoke to assured me they’d take it very seriously.

It’s an interesting concept that of being a ‘grass’. Almost as if there should be some solidarity and pride in not standing up to wrong doing. That’s it’s somehow acceptable to just either acquiesce or celebrate it.

I often wonder with those who call someone a ‘grass’ if they have a threshold or if it’s just black and white.

I get that not everyone wants to step in and report others for acting like a twat, but labelling someone else who does as a ‘grass’ all seems a little infantile and more than likely massively hypocritical.

My experience is that those labelling others as a ‘grass’ are generally those who are likely to be ‘grassed’ on themselves….

Update - the Head of Safety and Security has emailed me to let me know he's asked the matchday investigater to look into it, who may call me to discuss it further.

I can't help much more than I already have, I didn't get a good look at the bloke's face as he was sat with his back to me.

And if you see someone behaving badly, don't be afraid to let the club know.

3 seats are the key to get some action! Must be registered to them if so i expect they get banned.

Did he use a “burner” ?

There's a matchday investigator? I want that job.;)

The club officials said we can see all the fans in the ground with our state-of-the-art tech. We can get close up to see the faces of every home fan in the Kop t/c stand, John Street, Bramall Lan upper. How come A fan has a three-year ban at Bramall Lane because of trouble he got involved in at Sunderland last season, but has attended every home game since then?. Fans light up flares and stand with them until they go out. The stewards are not security guards; they piss off anyway after half-time. The security is very poor in my opinion. They are supposed to check if you have items you are not supposed to bring in. They check again at the entrance to the stand. I do not get involved. It's not worth the hassle.

Years ago someone behind me at Watford spent most of the game shouting at Micky Adams to get his nob out.

Takes all sorts.

And did he oblige?
He pointed at his watch mouthed 'Give me time, give me time', waited til the home fans had gone, then lopped it out and did the helicopter and a golf swing with it. Really unlucky things didn't turn out better for him really.

Wished I'd have stayed longer at the end now rather than dashing back to the car to beat the traffic to the M1 😐

IIRC Henderson and Williamson may as well have got theirs out that day.

I think that was Henderson’s first game back from injury? Possibly suspension? I remember it being seen as a major boost to a struggling side anyhow. Useless twat was sent off inside 30 minutes.

Oh, and, staying on topic, the knobhead in the seat behind me pissed all over my coat too.

Dismal memries.

Yeah I think you're right. He'd been out all season if i remember rightly.
