Absolutely!
This thread is unreal.
Pissing on someone is indicative of having a very small dick and too much to drink. Don't want those fuckers anywhere near me!

Christ almighty. Don't say your as thick as the other one.
It's a thread about Kop characters, top boys and general bollox.
It involves talking bollox.

I once sang 'If I had to do it all over again I'd do it all over you', but I wasn't talking about pissing on them.

Yes you did. I remember when you pissed in my pocket. It was that stinking hot day in August 76 just before half time against Everton.

I remember Eskimo - hard case .Believe it or not he used to go into the Wimpey cafe in town before the match. Not sure if he was old enough to drink then but everyone knew him. Thats nearly 50 years ago now so if he still goes to BDTBL he probably sits in the south stand like me and reminisces about the heady days of standing on the kop and feeling the sway as we scored , repelling all invaders who dared to come on Shoreham street !! Happy days

Whatever happened to Tarzan? Anyone else remember him?

I never met him or even saw what he looked like but he did an ace Tarzan cry. He'd do it 10 or 15 times during the game.

The last time Bert saw him was that fateful day at Chelsea in 1994 when we went down with the last kick of the season.

Nothing like being at a music festival in the late 90's and having liquid in plastic pint pots chucked in the air and spraying half the crowd.

You just crossed your fingers and hoped that when you got covered, it was cold. The warm one's were not good, but all part of the territory.

A sanitised generation of non-confrontational, politically correct kids who are probably not as excitable and blinkered as we were about our towns, our football and our musical preferences etc.
This genetation ain't gonna give you the necessary bile and vitreol that supposibly makes a football crowd "intimidating."
Not a totally bad thing in my opinion.

Wasnt a fella called Willie Ward a top face on the Shoreham in the 60s?

Remember my old Grandad telling me that there used to be a geezer who they nicknamed the 'Shoreham mauler' back in the 30s or 40s i think. Some hard nut who was probably a pre cursor to the bbc. He was probably the top face in the blades zoot suit and trilby hat crew.

I suppose when you think about it, i bet the kop has had many a real character on it over the past hundred and odd years and probably saw enough woodbines smoked on it during matches to smoke a shed load of kippers.

Yes, I remember Willie - used to stand on the ledge of the Kop in order to sort/start any naughtiness. Not a big bloke, but to a naive 12/13 year old, someone to keep an eye on in case it kicked off. Short hair, jacket and tie, hard as bloody nails.

Are you sure it was Tarzan Bert?

I made a similar sound when I chucked misen out of the top tier right after that little git scored their winner.

I remember the Shoreham Boot Boys in the 60's or was it the 70's? Maybe we should bring back the skinheads, then again maybe not

They ain't got much aggression at all which isn't necessary a good thing

Skins or crop tops with black donkey jackets with Blades badges and dockers, AKA the Shoreham Barmy Army, or even the Shoreham Republican Army. Defenders of the Kop against all comers.

Were those BBCers kop toughies or were they more H block kind of guys?

I still see Eskimo, Drinks in my local. Still going strong despite walking with a stick. Stick could just be for twatting people though. ;)
I remember Eskimo and his mate buttlap or something similar back in the mid to late 60s.
Anyone else remember that name, or am I loosing my marbles.

Ah Eskimo
Ziga Zaga Ziga Zaga United
He could start chants off that lad.

Shred gets my vote too

Talking of Eskimo I remember occasionally going to Hillsboro with him where we joined the opposition fans - one such match was Derby about 1969 (they brought loads of fans as they were on the up with Clough). We stood at the back of the kop singing "Derby and United"
Remember the winner being scored by David Ford 1-0
