Not today he didn't. Kitson's sole contribution was to win the odd free-kick, give away the odd free-kick, and make a needless dirty lunge at a player's ankle after they'd hit a back pass. Ironside at least had a goalscoring effort, albeit an offside one.

Kitson can go as far as I'm concerned. He looks like he's been thinking about that lovely holiday in the MLS for a good few weeks now. The whole squad is a mess - can't say I'm at all looking forward to next season.

While accepting Porter's limitations, since Porter came back into the side he's been much more productive than Kitson - who started to fade long before Porter returned. I agree that he had a spell in the season where he looked good, but in all honesty he's been extremely disappointing in the last quarter of the season - perhaps a sign that he's no longer able to last a full season. These last few games have been like watching Beattie last season.

Perhaps getting tired towards the end of this season but Kitson has done more than most of us expected. Let us not forget the slagging off he got when he signed and that we only got him because he was friends with McCabe etc.

So a 12 goal return for a player even I wasn't exactly pleased with us signing is not bad at all. Had Miller not been injured and Blackman not been sold so we still had some decent pace alongside him then things may have been different. Although lately we have had no pace at all upfront or on the wings and when the crosses are coming in from nearer the half way line rather than from the edge of the area then I don't expect to be able to do much at all.

Porter has improved a bit and should have scored today and possibly in the first leg but he is shite in front of goal so there is no surprise he didn't score.
