Been discussed multiple times on here that Adidas are the absolute devil because they use templates, but this isn't "just" Adidas, all manufacturers do it. Here are some examples of where we have incorporated some, or multiple aspects of other shirts and ended up "twinned"...

I love and always have loved an Argentina kit.......could never bring myself to buy one though.....
Me too. Love the colour combinations.
It won't help, but Derby used to play in the same colours around late 1970's/early 80's. I know cos' the manager of the youth team I played for was a fan and had us play in the same kit, with the rams badge on it.
Must be one or two teams turned out in a similar kit in recent years?

There's only so many ways to do red and white stripes. And there's even fewer ways that remain true to keeping a kit "traditional" (no one wants more diamonds).

Hi, Adidas here. Unfortunately your second message is not visible to us so we will certainly take your request from the first one. Red and white stripes and all white on the back.

We knew you loved the 18/19 shirt. More to come!

Yours,

Adidas

Crikey, mattbianco1 as a huge kit nerd myself, there's having an eye for it, and then there's this! I would've never clocked that 2017/18 Bayern overlap, well spotted.

If the consensus is that some level of shared templates with other teams is fairly inevitable, then by this season's standards, we have two absolutely stonking kits! 😍

Hi Adidas,

On behalf of all of us, politely get rodded.

KIMD.

Me too, it's a footy design classic. I have two shirts, one of which is the 1990 shirt and it definitely doesn't fit me any more!

I used to play 5-a-side in it and with my long, flowing dark hair, I looked t'spittin image o'that Kempes bloke.

Then a few years ago, I bought one from a charity shop with 'Veron' and a number 8 on the back. Luckily I'd gone bald by this time so it was still relevant. 😆

Edit: Feck's sake, just seen the 1990 Argie shirts going for over £150 on Ebay. Kerching! 🤑

Leeds away kit 20/21 - could be another template we use in future

Unlikely I think, Adidas have new templates every year and it's not that common for an old one to get used, they have Condivo, Tiro, Striped, Campeon and probably others that have names I don't know, but normally you get one of those or a mix of those.

Last season we had Condivo 20 home, this season it seems like we've got a custom Striped 21 (cuffs are different) bit we've got Campeon home shorts with the Adidas stripes just in the middle.

Aside from the England back line, we actually had another subtle presence at the Euros: the Belgium away kit is essentially our home kit from last season, minus the stripes. The v-neck and collar, the red and black on the sleeves, the way the pattern stops just below the shoulders -- all identical!

In fact, it's Belgium who've been had here: a little yellow stripe between the red and black on the sleeves would have made this an all-time classic, but Adidas couldn't be bothered 🙄
