I noticed in Monday's Star that Killgallon was given only 5 for his performance at Hull -the lowest mark awarded. So I wrote to my Donny friend to ask what has gone wrong.

He replied thus:

"Kilgallon has not played much at Rovers in fact only 3 full games, the rest he has spent on the bench and has been used for 10 minutes or so on about 4 occasions. He has never lived up to his reputation,it has been reported that his confidence has gone. He has never really got hold of the back 4 and organised it, pretty disappointing".

He should have stayed with Sheffield United.

To be fair he never got hold of the Blades back 4 and organised it. He was always the Rolls Royce when he played alongside Morgs.

Perhaps a cheeky bid in the summer and get him alongside so called tough nut Collins until Morgs is back fit

there are,nt many good hair stylists in doncaster, poor lad will be in nightmare land if he cant get his highlights done, thats why his confidence is shot

Did he not turn us down when he went to Donny, saying he wanted to play for a footballing side? I'm not 100% on this, but that's what I heard.

I'm just clinging to the hope that he's a bit raw like Morgs was when he arrived and by putting him alongside a, lets say more cultured player like Killa was, he'd take on the responsibility of leadership and doing the ugly stuff... sadly I can't see it happening

Leeds fan of my acquaintance says that Collins was excellent in League One, so you never know...

I think he said he didn't want to go back to a club he had previously played for as it wasn't right.

He also said that he wanted to follow up his dream to play for England...

That seems to be less bridge burning! Also classier.

Can't see him leaving us in the Championship to go to the Premiership, and then coming back to us in League One though! :D

Swiss - I know another Leeds fan who was convinced that Killa would be England captain by now.

John Ryan pays him in tokens for Transform medical ,botoxed to fuck.

Changing subject slightly....so won't Morgan be back for the start of next season then ?, I must admit I just assumed he would be good for pre-season and onwards.

A few people have suggested Morgan and Maguire as our centre half pairing next season. While Morgan's experience would be comforting for Maguire, they don't really complement eachother though, and a lack of pace could be a big problem. That is Collins' weakness too, so we probably need to look for another type of centre back in the summer.

Can't see it, sadly I think it'll be longer than many people seem to think until we see Morgs on the pitch again.

I think it might be a little early, although I bet his target is still to hit full preseason with the rest of the team!

Recovery time is normally about 6 months, plus a cautious preseason and getting match fitness, you're realistically looking at about 9 months in total before his first game.

My first ACL op I was back running by 6 months (my mate was playing football within 6) but after the 2nd op it took me 14 months before I was signed off by the physio and was able to run.

I have no doubt Morgs is made of sterner stuff than me and he's had better treatment, but even so it takes a long time!

Shame, it would be nice to have a stable back four for the start of next season and Morgs would be a massive part of that. Early Nov the injury happened wasn't it ? so the 9 months timeframe would work well for the start of next season but I guess each case is different and maybe age is a factor too.

I don't think age is a major factor in a professional athlete, he'll have had decent muscle mass, so probably not as much wastage that you see in someone in their 40's onwards. Plus the United physio's will've had him building up the muscles and the stability pretty quickly

Depending where they took the graft tissue from it could help or slow his recovery.

There could've been additional issues as it was an ACL and also a lateral rupture - so two issues to deal with.

But my cautious estimate of 9 months was put down to hard pitches/ surfaces due to summer months. Twisting and turning on harder ground is more intense and harder on the knee, so taking it steady will be the key.

I sadly don't think we will see him on a pitch again Foxy, I've thought this for a while now :(
