how do you know we havn't tried.....Richardson has/is picking premiership football over championship football.

Well thats about right for us as a club really well we just assume they wont sign for us so we dont even bother trying. We like try once if that give up and then then some of them end up at a club no better than us. I mean last season the amount of players we missed out on was stupid and it was even worse to see them sign for teams in the division below us.

I'd agree with some of that. I do think Warnock resigned himself to buying Championship players last season, whereas you can see the promoted teams this year are already setting their sights higher.

But the rumours today are that KR will sign for Sunderland for around £5.5m, and I'm certainly glad we're not trying to compete with stupid prices like that!!

You have absolutely no idea whether we have tried or not or how much we try. I'd suggest if Robson thought he'd be a worthy addition then we have tried. After all the chances of Graveson wanting to play in the Championship are slim and he's after him.

What players did we "miss out on" last season? what were the management teams thoughts on them? what did we offer?

You don't have a clue, so why slag them off for something you know so little about?

The fact of the matter is, no matter how hard we try, Richardson is not the sort of bloke to want to come and play in the Championship, if he's being offered more at a club in the Premiership who also happen to have a manager with Man U connections.

Alot we didnt even bother to look at and some we we rumoured to sign. None of them came Hendrie, Koumas and co. Maybe its true warnock didnt have the pulling power despite making contact with some of them.

We have to pursuade these sort of players to come here and convince them that we only intend to be in this shite division for one season.

£5.5mil for Richardson is a good price i think for player like him.

Maybe im wrong and hopefully decent signings will appear.

the bold part is the only part of your comment I do agree with. In today's inflated market, Richardson I think is worth in the region of £6 million.

But to suggest we missed out on Hendrie and Koumas is daft. It was only ever reported in the papers we was after Koumas, but it is well known that he is not a "Warnock" type of player, (ie a little lazy in getting back) Koumas also didn't go to a team in a division lower, he stayed with the team he was relegated with.

Hendrie would not have been a good addition in the Premiership. People seem to think because he has done very well in Championship that he would be amazing. BUT he has shown time after time that he wasn't upto all that much with Villa, hence the reason his contract was not renewed.

Robbie: We are in the Championship now so does that mean Hendrie for the Blades?

Now we are in the Championship, then yes I wouldn't mind signing him, providing he doesn't get daft wages. He could be a very good assett in getting us back to where we belong.

Yeah, and that is the exact problem that many people had with warnock.

He looked at work ethic and team play as the most important assets, when in reality a player like Koumas was exactly what we needed, even if he doesnt come back and defend.
