Kieffer Moore

Moores was saved by the keepers foot, Sunderlands were easily saved by hand.
Trafford both good saves. Regardless of what either keeper did Moore doesn’t hit a penalty cleanly, hence why no one wants him to take another.

Thoughts on the shithousery of Trafford

If Cooper did it to save 2pens I’d be laughing

Thought neither were pens so wanted him to miss, but Traffords fuckin about made me hope he slams one in and gives him a wink

Ref should have yellowed him on 1st then he either doesn’t do it or gets sent off before 2nd is taken

Would also not allow someone who missed one take 2nd
First one outside box second looked nowt

What's happening with him? We needed someone to come on and hold the ball up second half and he brings on Canon (that is not his game). He's only played a few minutes since his injury but if he's not fit to play have One on the bench.

It can't hurt to give Moore some minutes instead. I feel all my enthusiasm and confidence drain from me whenever I see Cannon or Brewster on the touchline waiting to come on, perhaps it has the same effect on the players too.

I'm afraid CW feels compelled to give Cannon minutes, even when it makes no sense.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him start on Tuesday

Decent cameo from him yesterday for Wales. Held the ball up well, good defensive work on set pieces and assist for the late equaliser.
I can see him getting some minutes on Friday.

Equaliser scored by Schoolboy Looks David Brooks too. And if it hadn’t been for a horrendous bit of defending a few minutes earlier, it would have been the winner.

He’s a better option than Cannon atm.

Not writing Cannon off, but Campbell is clearly the starting striker, and when we’re bringing someone on for him on the hour, we need someone with a more all round game - Keiffer can actually hold the ball up and occupy defenders, Cannon cannot, and it leads to opposition being able to win the ball back easily and allows them to put us under pressure (coupled with our ‘1-0 will do’ approach)

When the opposition are putting in corners and set pieces, I'd rather have Kieffer helping out rather than Cannon

Thing is, if we need to rest Campbell during games, and we don’t have more of the same, then I’m fully in favour of something different all together.

Not to mention the fact, with his aerial ability at either end he’s a useful ‘closer’ in that he can hold it up at one end and is useful as the zone man or whatever it’s called at corners. I know Ball_Sup (Phil) mentions what position it is called.

I know Moore has his (very genuine) limitations but I do think you've got to feel a bit sorry for the bloke.

He was never going to be a fan's favourite playing up top on his own and aye, he didn't look like the sort playing there to lead us to promotion- but we were churning out the results and he was a massive part of that.

I think off the bench he's a good option and (although I know it's not what we do) you'd have to think him and Campbell would work as a front 2 as well?

What with Coventry having scored the most headed goals in Europe this season i would try to fit Moore into the starting line up to give them something to worry about. He won every defensive header that came in the box last night and as previously mentioned, set up the winner with a downward header in the last minute.
Maybe Moore instead of Brewdog would be a tad harsh but it could be the way for us on Friday.

Brewster deserves another start. Diaz the one who I'd drop

I've lost count how many "big target men/hold up men" I've seen us use over the last 25 years, and the only two who I've ever seen play that role to perfection were Neil Shipperley and Rob Hulse. The rest were largely average to poor.

I think neither Brewster nor Moore will start on Friday. This is a game where you have to start O'Hare. It's his former club and he'll be fired up.

I guess you could go 4-4-2 with Hamer on the left and O'Hare on the right as wide playmakers, but I don't think Wilder will do that.

Moore will be used as a sub v Cov I feel as if we get a goal before they do (hopefully) he can be effective in both boxes if they start launching crosses at us.

Cannon and Brewster will be used in some of the rother remaining games where attacking threats are more manageable.

Hoping we have Souza back for this one.

Moore is a very good striker at this level 7 in 18 for Ipswich last season tells you that

I think he has been half decent this year , he looked a lot better when he wasn’t scoring than when he eventually scored

Plus he was playing with an injury for who knows long

More than good enough at this level and I’d argue as a lump next season he would be a decent 4th striker

For £1.5-2 million in the summer, getting 5 goals out of him (don't know about assists) in a system that doesn't suit him is good for the low fee, especially as 2 of those goals won us 3 points against Cardiff.

That, and his first against Cardiff is one of the goals of the season for us, same for Burrows against Bristol City and Campbell against QPR.

If you wanted to be a mentalist and take his minutes per goal ratio over a 38 game season, he would get 11+ which isn't an awful return for a player we are playing out of system and he's making do with it

In an ideal world we would have a coherent system and players to suit it

He's basically missed 3 months right in the thick of the season. If he doesn't have a strong end to the season he'll be seen as a very poor signing unfortunately
