I disagree. Brewster refused a new contract. I don’t think wilder could have made him stay. Nobody could if he wanted to leave.

I genuinely hope he does well at Derby, but it was time for him to go

Agreed, Brewster is in the same situation right now that Campbell was in when we signed him last season.

Sometimes it's better for everyone when players move on, as a new environment can help them get their careers back on track.

Players who needed a move (loan or permanent) to get their careers back on track:

Campbell: fitness issues aside, he looks so much better than how quite a few Stoke fans described him.

Didzy: similar to Campbell, injury concerns that are now behind him, got a new lease of life with us and continued his good form post United.

Tanganga: originally going on loan to Millwall 2 years ago got him consistent football that turned him into one of the current best Championship CB's.

Dean Henderson: unless you are Man United, Henderson going to Palace was the best move for all parties involved, look how well his career has progressed with regular football since then.

Baldock wasn’t because he’d had loads of niggly injuries over the last couple of the seasons and he’d had the offer from Greece for months. The others were offered championship contracts.
