On X..
I always like to see for myself who media celebrities,
former sports and athletes, follow as it gives me a basic
idea of that person's interests and thoughts. Curiousity I suppose.
Were any roundabouts painted in Dronfield?

I think politically, me and Kev might not subscribe to similar views.
Each to their own and who am I to judge?

despite all the moaning, a lot of people still like the BBC.

Nobody.
You're nobody.
So maybe stop judging?

The only judgement I made was about his and mine
political leanings. Did I criticise? He has his and I have mine,
we wouldn't agree.

I'm sure that if anyone on X et al didn't want to be judged,
they'd set their profile to 'Private'.

Seems to me like you said "who am I to judge"
Then continued to judge and try to get others to do so.

Just absolutely despite bullshitters
If it gets him through the day then there’s absolutely no harm being done. The nature of pseudonyms on the internet are that some people will bullshit.

A good few people, yourself included, have had a name change on here over the years. It’s not much different to that really.

If he’s died and come back to life then I’m actually amazed that a zombie can type.

Quite so, ever met him in person? I live in Dronfield, and I’ve met him three or maybe four times, seemed a nice bloke.
I've had the (dis) pleasure of working alongside him the most up his arse prick I've ever known one of the Dronfield Little Englander Brexiteer/Tory lot alongside Sinclair.

he got kicked off the Lane as match day host when Warnock was manager as he slagged Warnock off in the Tony Currie stand when he was doing his match day waffle probably one of the best things Warnock has ever done.

his son ( not Oliver ) was a Tory (Parish?) councillor who was ejected from his post for not turning up to meetings

Not sure its considered a name change if you have been banned.

Your experiences are obviously different to mine, which remain unchanged.

I was brought up in Dronfield, 1960's/70's. It’s outwardly "nice", but I was so glad when I finally escaped in 1984. There were some good people, but you're right about the Little Englander tag. It was very inward looking, and too many Alan Partridge driving glove/golf club types for my liking. I've never been back.

Someone posted near the beginning of this thread that anyone displeased with Mr Gage's political views could, perhaps, offer an alternative (if they had anything of substance to say), rather than indulge in name-calling.

Since then there's been very little engagement with the content of Mr Gage's views and more a focus on pejorative assessments of his personality.

The insults haven't even been that good, so, in the hope encouraging more creativity here's the inspirational....Rude Kid:

None taken.

He used to post as Bomber Command on BladesMad, then came on here as Lydon.

Then he died

Then the family kept on posting on here

Then another member of the family who was posting on here died

Then another member of the family started posting on here on the same account under the a different username.

Have a shufty through this

What a shame he couldn't display the same degree of respect to Charlie Kirk the other week instead of celebrating his murder, regardless of his 'political views'.

The mods should have kicked the 'british hating' scumbag off the board then rather than letting him continue to spout his pathetic drivel.

I apologise for my poor humour, sometimes I miss the mark. I take the view that there’s enough seriousness in the world as it is
'There's far too much happiness in the world today', as I said to the wife's sister in bed this morning!
