Kev McCabe on his uppers

I wonder if his fortune decreased with the property crash and I wonder if it will increase with the recovery of the market. I'm not convinced SUFC have made him anything but neither have they cost him anything like the property crash has.

McCabe hasn't done any of this on purpose but boy has he gone the right way about fucking a good football club up. Here is hoping that is coming to an end and we can start going up the league rather than down it.

I think you and I are largely in agreement about matters McCabe. I'd guess he's lost a fair bit on United, and a shit load on property. It's a fact the club has gone backwards under his tenure, because of poor decisions and despite best intentions.

I'm still thankful that he has written the debt off, as a standalone point.

I wouldn't bother thanking him what other choice did he have. Even after taking everything but the boardroom furniture he probably still would have lost out selling the ground and academy. Thank the Prince who refused to invest unless the club was debt free. If all goes to plan it may take a bit of time but McCabe will get his money back and at least we no longer have the millstone of McCabe's high interest charges round our necks. Maybe just maybe we will not have to cut the wage bill yet again to service high interest charges.
