All about opions Stretch and others and I knew I'd get pelters for suggesting him but I rate him as a player. We've not been linked with Madine by the way, calm down! It was merely a suggestion by me. If as you say the rest of the squad wouldn't want him then I'd be fully behind you in not wanting him. If he was to cause trouble in the team spirit likewise I'd be against it. And looking at his record I can see why many wouldn't want him. As a player though I think he'd offer us something and he was never my first choice when I mentioned a few names, I think Zohore for example is a better player. I didn't originally suggest him because I thought Warnock would want to keep him.

As Harry used to say, when he signed a player he didn't sign a player to marry his daughter he signed a player to do a job and nothing else. Wilder has also said he doesn't need to be mates with them either, but I totally get the players need harmony and if that was disturbed then as I say I'd be totally against it. Hope that clarifies it somewhat.

I'l finish with that he seems to have been out of trouble at Cardiff and Bolton and before that Blackpool. That doesn't mean he's no a bad lad though I agree.

No worries Stretch and I totally get he's controversial and I would be surprised if Wilder went for him knowing everything. There's safer options out there, I really like Tom Eaves from League One, but I'd again not expect him to arrive as he's not played at this level.

I have a friend who's a Luton fan and have been winding her up for weeks about us signing some of their star players in January, the more they win (seems to be every week now) the more upset she gets with my "future Blades" comments ... if we're going to take a punt in the lower leagues maybe Elliott Lee (son of Rob Lee) could be worth a shot.

A decent shout Hansworth. I've had a look at him on you tube a few weeks back! Can't see it though since we're avoiding permanent buys at the minute from League One; Wilder obviously feels we need proven quality at this level over up and coming.,

I'm of the opinion that if we can't get Zahore (which seems likely) then Gestede would also be a good option.

His goal record is a bit concerning obviously, but you would hope that in the right system, with a good manager he might be able to rediscover his form when he was at Blackburn. He also ticks the box in terms of a physical presence who can play, regardless of how many goals he scores.

Agree he seems to be worth considering. James Justin, the young right back, might also be a good shout.
