As seems to the popular consensus, Zahore - Yes, Gestede - No.
Perhaps, but I can't recall what other alternatives were when we signed each of those mentioned.Unfortunately, that's not the most ringing endorsement. From memory didn't most also clamor for Leonard, Morsey, Burn, Holmes, Brayford (the sequel) etc. and were dead set against Clarke?
Why not both??
SHOW SUM AMBISHUN KEV.
Adrian or the one out of Robin Hood?Agana was probably still 6 foot but didn't look it at the side of Deansie.
I remember thinking Littlejohn was small until he moved near me and I stood next to him in a shop. I'm almost 6 foot and he seemed a touch taller if anything.
Well Deano is now 50 which makes Agana around 55, so I think we'd be in with a shout!Deane and Agana then? I wonder how much they'd costs these days?
Strong, quick, direct and can finish.
If anyone has read my previous comments on him- I take them back. I will have Kenneth please.
God almighty, those commentators are dire!!
The in the same league as that new bloke at radio Sheff.
Zahore came on for Cardiff today. Warnock said he was like a new signing and he hopes he will take the pressure of them signing a new striker in January.
I don’t actually think it’s the Wednesday history, we’ve had plenty of pretty good players from them over the years it’s more to do with his personality and off field behaviour.Warnock has always rated Zohore but he's been injured and also Zohore hasn't done much when fit. But he was their main threat up top last season and he's still young enough to improve. People shot me down for the suggestion but we're far more likely to be able to sign Gary Madine on loan from Cardiff than we are Zohore. I think Madine could do a job for us but I seem to be on my own here, or people can't get past the fact he's supposed to be a bit of a tosser but for half a season I'm sure the rest of the lads would put up with him if he does well for us. I don;t care one bit about the fact he used to play for Wednesday either.
I said for years we should sign Leon and for £130,000 that hasn't turned out bad in my view and he was supposed to be a trouble maker as well and of course had his Wednesday past.

I do agree with your point about the chances of getting Zohore just hope that there’s better options than Madine because he’s so divisiveI understand what you're saying. He's not my first choice as I'd prefer someone who can do a bit more than Madine, like Zahore can, but I doubt we will get Zahore to be honest.
If we get Gestede, Defoe AND Zahore in January our front two would be...
Sharp and Clarke![]()

Didn't seem to cause Cardiff any problems in their promotion push last season, or Bolton's push to stay up and before that go up. As I keep saying, he's not my first choice but I do believe he would offer us something.
I find it had to take that we are again seriously entertaining the possible signing of that utter cunt Madine, who’s publicly proven himself, many times over, to be a perfect blend of pig-ignorant thug and ostentatiously entitled modern footballing mediocrity.
Said it before. But it bears repeating:
Gary Madine

Feral pig (on its way to court, naturally)

Utter cunt. And surely, please God, not in a million years a ‘Wilder player’.
And that Sir, gets my one and only vote for post of the year!![]()
With 361 days’ worth of posts already counted and weighed, I’m going to thank you most sincerely for that![]()
You are most welcome!
