OK we lost Maguire and missed him until now. Terry has been eye catching on previous appearances but today he was immense. He was hampered with and early booking but he did what he had to do and played the rest of the game with a wistle happy ref but didn't let it affect his game at all.

IMO he is better than Harry at this stage of career and I was ecstatic before the game to hear he had signed a new contract, thought he might have been one we let get away.

Well done on both counts young man yor performance today was worth the price of my season ticket

Maguire is already showing his limitations. .too slow. Kennedy certainly one for the future.

Agree he's been good, and was probably his best performance today. However, he still wouldn't even get in ahead of JMc or Basham in my opinion. He has limitations, but plays to his strengths. Wins most headers, in fact virtually every header today, and is 'no nonsense' in terms of clearing the ball away. He is only a couple of months younger than Maguire, so I can't see the comparison there, but he is a dependable solid League 1 centre half no doubt. Would be happy seeing his name on the teamsheet, but not quite done as well as McEveley, who has been superb IMO.

Great game today.

A few more clean sheets and displays like that will be most welcome!

Kennedy seems to be on the end of every single one of our decent attacking set pieces. If he can work on the direction of the efforts he could become a real threat from free kicks and corners.

Agree with this, I've noticed in other games that he has a knack of getting into the right place when he goes up but obviously he hasn't hit the target yet. He will at some point.

We've very rarely lost in the handful of games he's played. A great team player - I like him.

I think he is finally coming good, we have to remember that he has had to deal with a lot of injuries in the past, and that might have hampered his development, but I'm genuinely pleased the lad is getting his chance and is showing what he can do. He was excellent today

I like him. No nonsense. Hard. Clever enough to set up the goal rather than hit the stand. However, Harry is ahead of him "at this stage of his career" as they were in the same youth team and Harry was in the team of the year three years running and bagged a move to the prem.

He must have great stats for starting, us winning and clean sheets though. Albeit with ,limited games but made better by the game's not necessarily being our strongest team, like today.

Very much in the 'Chris Morgan' mould.

He was our MOTM yesterday for me and has impressed everytime I have seen him. I think I recall somebody maybe on here(?) say he was the better or at least potential wise of the two.. (the other being Maguire) when they were coming through the youth ranks and I can see why.

Was always rated as a better footballer coming through the ranks

I agree with the Morgs parallels. Kennedy reminds me of Morgan when we first signed him. Strong, brave, good in the air despite not being as tall as some centre halves, and very good at timing tackles. Unfortunately, his distribution isn't yet as good as it can be. However, as I said, neither was Morgs' when he started out with us. He worked hard on improving this, together with his ball control, and it improved immeasurably. I'm sure, with Tel's attitude, he'll be working just as hard, and will improve just as much.

I'm looking forward to him becoming a more complete player and captaining us in the future.
