Big centre back, will be 31 in September, free agent, not bad pedigree with Forest and Celtic, although I read Forest fans were not overjoyed to have him back and there is perhaps some doubts about fitness as he's played 46 games in 3 seasons. Also read some Forest fans didn't think much of his performances although perhaps a lack of games has played a part.

Worth a punt? Still need at least 2 new CB's, probably more!

No disrespect to you or anyone else that suggests these types of players but I just can't understand why.

I've said it before and I shall say it again; young, promising, up and coming, strong, athletic, centre backs and central midfielders is where the focus should be.

We've done old championship rejects on their way down, it just doesn't work. And it's more expensive.

I suppose because at the moment we don't have any, not one. Another reason is that it's all very well having all young, upcoming types as you suggest, but you still need, especially in that position, someone with some experience too. Ideally an older wiser type alongside your quick, young, promising player.

Anyway as the tile prefix says : just a suggestion.

He was a fairly decent defender in the past and despite his injuries he has played more football than some of the players we have signed recently. He is a player we probably could have signed a good few years ago.

Although as always with players like him he will want high wages and a long contract that favours him more than us despite his fitness.

I don't always mind us taking a punt on experienced players BUT as with the likes of Higdon, Hammond etc, we never go about it properly.
