Eddie Hearn has confirmed that talks are underway between the club and himself over a possible Kell Brook fight being held at the Lane. Early indications suggest any fight could happen late may, even 4th of June been touted as a possible date by Eddie.

What kind of capacity could Bramall Lane hold for an event such as a boxing match? I know they did a stunt thing at the lane at the start of this season and that didn't really pull a crowd in, but i'd suggest Kell Brooks fight would have quite a big interest, so interested to know if anyone knows what sort of capacity we'd be looking at.

We should find out if indeed the fight will be at Bramall Lane tomorrow.

Tony Soprano is the opponent but the fight is taking place ON Bramall Lane not IN it. Kicks off outside The Cricks front door at 2.30 on the 4th May.
Rematch in Argos carpark if its a draw.

Soprano is in all the supporting bouts too SBT, fighting all us Blades Madders one by one.

There is no way we would get 30k in the stands. Some of the views would be terrible.

Eddie Hearne is a parasite.

Just my own personal opinion of the man.

I would attend this fight though.

When Bomber Graham fought at the Lane in the mid 80s, think they only opened the South Stand (which was full) with ring obviously at SS side of the pitch, plus ringside. What's the Lane hold 33/34k, plus 10k seats on the pitch, mid 40ks I'd guess, depends who ends up fighting as to whether it's a sell out.

Hearn just pretty much confirmed it, but I can't see Spence bringing in enough interest to need anything close to 30,000.
On paper looks like a potentially good fight, so long as his chin is a good as it's seems. But its untested and Spence's name isn't going to bring in 25,000 casuals.

be a tough fight for kell this spence is highly rated just hope they try and keep prices sensible cos it could be a great fight and good crowd know he really wants a world title fight at the lane

Yes he claims he did and was stupid enough to post it up as a warning to others. Got pelters all day long on that. Plantpot.

For those who aren't aware of the full details of this classic old Tony tried to get an illegal stream of a United game off the Internet, logged onto a blatant scam website which asked him to pay with his debit card details before he could watch it and he gave them out to them, worra pilliock :D

If we believe facebook just been confirmed on there at the Lane.

Was confirmed in post #2 with capacity agreed at 32000

There was talk of 20th May... which as far as Foxy and I are concerned would be Very Bad Timing!

Still, summat to watch on the tablet while I'm busy if her ladyship decides to pop into the world a week early.

Living in the states I've seen quite a bit of Errol Spence and he looks a really good fighter. If you get the chance, have a look on YouTube and the like because for me Spence would give Kell all the trouble he could handle. Be a lot closer than the potential mismatch with glass chinned Amir Khan and a real treat for the true boxing fans out there.

Hopefully the media can sell it because it has the potential to be the fight of the year for me.

I can't see ticket sales for this bout hitting the heights that would require the use of a football stadium to be honest. Amir Khan would be a differ matter. Not because it would be a better bout, but would certainly shift more tickets.
Unless marketing indicates it's going to sell upwards of 20k I'd have the ring nearer to the BL stand and not use the kop at all.
