Curle has been invited for a second interview according to Paul walker

I think I am either going to end up in the divorce courts or prison if this buffoonery doesn't end soon

I can only assume the delay in appointing a manager is a good thing; we may actually be thinking ahead rather than picking the first person that walks through the door. Disappointed about McCall, but glad we then didn't panic.

We tried to pick the first man that walked through the door. He didn't want it.

I did think that until we started giving people their 1st interview this week, ie Curle.

Didn't Curle leave Mansfield after poorly treating a member of their youth team? Would seem an odd choice to bring on people from the Academy. But then he'd be an odd choice anyway frankly.

I thought the same but he sued for wrongful dismissal, won the case and cleared his name.

<< A judge cleared Curle of any wrongdoing on Friday saying that Mansfield's disciplinary process was a "sham". Judge Field QC said Mr Curle had acted "appropriately, professionally and fairly" at all times during his time at Mansfield >>

He didn't impress me with his post match comments after we thrashed them 5-2 last year in Nottingham. Arrogant, self important and self centred I thought.

I'm usually fully behind united, when we see questionable decisions I get behind whoever wears the shirt or manages the team. I'm sure most of you are the same but it getting more and more difficult. this is the loyalty they know we have and are just abusing the fact well follow the blades through thick and thin, this is one fed up blade !

just doing his job then?
Of the names still in the hat I think he would be a fair choice.

I thought the same.

However, it's not like we've never had a manager with exactly those qualities though is it. Seem to remember he wasn't everyone's cup of tea but did OK eventually:)

Curle has experience of League One relegation battles so has the requisite knowledge for the job.

Of course, the teams he managed got relegated, but I'm sure the club isn't bothered about details like that.

He's also an easy man to dislike by all accounts. A perfect appointment for a season of struggle.

The only problewm with taking your time selecting the right man for the job ,,, is the fact social media today is full of twats posting any old crap and theres always enough dumb fuckers to believe them
