Keeping Wilder means accepting relegation

You can't help some people. I'd bite your hand off at 20 points. I'm a couple more games away from "I'd bite your hand off for 12 points"

To just get to 30 points we need 7 wins and 8 draws from 26 games 😂😂
The level of delusion in our own fan base never fails to impress me. We’ve been shit for weeks but some think it’s going to turnaround. Even the pigs see us as viable pisstaking fodder.

I can't see it happening but we need to start planning for next season in The Championship NOW.

By that I mean getting a settled team regardless of results, sticking with them so they gel and getting back to our attacking style again regardless of results so that we aren't completely shot when we go down.

Norwich's last 10 games were woeful from a stats perspective but Farke never changed his philosophy of going gung ho so when they were relegated it was much easier to get back to winning ways, as performances didn't match results, in the division below.

I'd probably go with something like this:

Rambo

Bash
Egan
Bryan (not ideal but he'll be off anyway at end of season and JOC will be back)

Baldock (if he's likely to move on then Bogle)
New Signing (sell Berge and use money to sign his replacement)
Fleck
Stevens (with a view to RND replacing him next season)

Freeman (recalled)

McBurnie
Brewster
I’d do the opposite, I’d arrange friendlies for the Championship squad that they can easily win every week. Put all the (even more) shite players in the PL games and let them get hammered.

When we go down we’ve got a winning team with momentum, easy.

Err...sorry? Quite sure about that?

Get Big Sam in now. Offer him a huge bonus to keep us up and then get a bright young manager in next Summer. It's blindingly obvious. Any other course of action and our club will be doomed for years. Wilder has had his day. It's time to offer him a place on the board. But nowhere near the team or future transfer business

We'll go down with a new manager

Best chance of coming back up is Wilder.

We've overachieved massively for 4 seasons with a team of League One Bosmans because of Wilder. Unfortunately the "dip" happens to be at a bad time.

I want Wilder to stay, not only because I think he's the best manager we've ever had, but he's also a top person.

A new manager now will probably preceed a predictable nose dive to the lower resches of the Championship with a wage bill that needs managing down
Our recruitment this summer screamed rebuild younger players we’d try and develop to a higher ceiling than the current crop we tried to do it without dropping off and that hasn’t worked I’ll give him time to complete his picture.

Bright young manager? Gary Monk’s available. We’ve got a great young manger in place who has already massively massively, fucking massively over achieved by getting an 11th placed L1 side into the Premier League. As a result his job is on the line?

A side that should’ve got no where near this division ever mind finished top half last year. Ffs, get Big Sam in! Whether that worked or not it would only be short term. What about after that?

What happens after a successful manager leaves.......

Robson/ Blackwell / Adkins / Clough /Heath / McEwan/ shit manager/ shit manager/ shit manager/ get lucky

By your logic Leicester should never have sacked Ranieri

Claudio Ranieri: Leicester City sack Premier League-winning manager - BBC Sport

Leicester are different gravyC

Could we attract Brendan Rodgers to replace Chis? Perhaps Pep or Poch?

Leicester are different gravy

Craig Shakespeare shouldn't be beyond us. The man who replaced Ranieri.

We Could sack Chris and then go for a charismatic tactician like Carvalhal. If that doesn’t work we can always get Luhukay. When that doesn’t work out there’s Bruce who will leave for the first better offer. We can then get a “Bright Young Manager” in like Monk and after that go for tried and tested Pulis, its not pretty but it works, apart from when it doesn’t. End up in a worse position that we’re already in, sound familiar?

I thought we were down when O'Connell got injured and we didn't bring in a replacement
It was OBVIOUS that we were damaged goods when JoC was out injured in the return from lockdown. Then when he returned it was OBVIOUS that he was under par.
To have failed to deal with his injury and then compounded that failure by not recruiting specialist quality backup is unforgivable.

Or maybe we stay up like Crystal Palace did after Holloway resigned and after they sacked De Boer after a similar start

Wtf is he gonna do on the Board then - arrange for draft Peroni in the bars ?

You. Can’t compare Holloway with Wilder. I wouldn’t trust Holloway with a pair of scissors never mind a football club

Holloway got Crystal Palace and Blackpool promoted to the Premier League. Because of Holloway's selflessness the former are still there.

History tells us we get a great manager one in every few managers. Be prepared to go through several failures before striking gold again.

Erm, that was when Kevin McCabe was our owner and picking managers, he aint there anymore.

We’re you on here saying Adkins was an awful Manager when he took over...or like the rest of us realised In Hindsight?

I joined this forum in August 2016 so no I wasn't on here.

Adkins at least signed Sharp who was a huge reason for us going up.

How much of a twat do you have to be to start a thread like that at half time in a game. Bet you can't wait till we go a goal down Thursday
