Kean Bryan

No. Alex Baptiste's brother :)

No, just someone who doesn't look for any possible scapegoat every time it doesn't go exactly our way. Our fans are amongst the most fickle and its posts like these that just further highlight it.

Kean Bryan did pretty well today. He lacked cohesion and fluency in his game but so would you if you went and did your job in a brand new environment after missing half the season. His actual defensive work was good, he's better in the air than I thought and when he almost won a penalty in the first half showed he can impact the team. Man City don't put buy back clauses in barely any player they let go, even the young ones.

He's almost the same age as David Brooks, not Richard Stearman.

All about opinions but I didn’t see excellence from Coutts in either of those games.

I think it was the best he’s played since his comeback v Blackburn, but still a long way short of his previous “average” never mind “best”.

And v Wigan he simply came on to play in little triangles after we’d got the game won. He did that very well, rolling the ball under his foot, a little 3 yard pass here, then a receive there, and repeat, in order to keep possession and slow the game down.

But he looks crippled to me. (Seriously). In both those games when the ball has gone past him he cannot run or tackle to get it back. He was never the best tackler but I’ve never seen him look so flat-footed and easily done for pace as he appears now.

I know we all want him to do well and be back to his best, but he is absolutely nowhere near it and hasn’t showed any hint of that so far to me.

There is a post elsewhere, but not on this one where I posted that Coutts played a particular purpose in the game v Blackburn (by holding a flat midfield 3 with Fleck and Norwood wen down to 10) and then the 3 of them enabled the team to score 3 in 20 minutes when 10 v 10.

As for Wigan - yes, he and the ret quite imply closed the game down and made sure Wigan had as little possession as possible to get back at us.

Today he was the main play maker and it didn't work out.

As for his fitness, he isn't crippled , but he's playing very much like when in the team following his serious knee injury when with derby. perhaps it's a confidence thing with Coutts.

I expect him to come into the team on 60 mins onwards primarily to close games down - just like Wigan.

UTB

Needs to learn to pass the ball forward.

It would have helped him if Johnson showed for the fucking ball occasionally rather than being a statue or running way too far forwards.

Not excusing KB though as I thought he was one of the worst I've seen today in truth. However, I will give him a break as he's played minimal football in the last few months but Christ he needs to improve quickly, a loan out somewhere would help as he isn't getting in the first team soon.

Sadly concur. Apparently he's not been happy about not playing much but realistically he's been offering little but the sense he'd be a liability if he played from the start in any Championship game.
Today just underlined it. Really sad but could be coming to the end of his career at United.

It's honestly a fucking joke. It's a good job MOST players know better than to read this fucking drivel constantly from our fans. We've been spoiled in the past few years that people havent had much to complain about and you forget how much united fans really hate that.

Kean Bryan hasn't played a single game this season and has been injured, ill and injured again.

His game wasn't bad at all and the players around him didn't help in the sense of Stearman struggled and Johnson looks like he has something but he's not sure what to make of the formation either.

Remember Swindon Away in the play-offs? Most of you will remember watching it on tv and Paul Coutts was the worst footballer i've seen in a Sheff Utd shirt for 15 years and believe me I'm not overestimating that. He was awful when he first got back from injury and wasn't until an extended run of games and consistency in the team eventually got him physically to where his ability level could finally shine.
I take everything you say but the worrying thing is in your last sentence.

When can you see him getting an extended run of games? It ain’t gonna happen.

Players should be ready every time they get an opportunity whether they have been injured, out of the team or suspended.

He wasn’t, and neither were the rest.

I felt he showed promise and played ok, he was solid, not really caught out despite having Stearman all over the place alongside him and Johnson struggling to find some consistency outside him, he was fast and hard into challenges and seemed decent in the air. Im quite positive about him

Agree. I don't think he was owt fantastic today by any stretch (neither was any one else for that matter), but considering it was his Utd debut and he's played hardly any football in half a year, I thought the kid looked ok. Definately some potential there I think.

At the end of the day, it was his first game, he was unfortunately playing in a dire team, which we can all agree on, and he was a slight glimmer of light in it.
Hopefully he will get a chance to play a few more games with the u23s to bring him on a bit.

Did it numerous times second half into Washington's feet

Thought his passing was one of the better things about him. Short passes went astray or were under hit but everyone does that occasionally and no-one was where you'd think they should be anyway so no wonder a few went wayward.

The most concerning thing to me was his heading, but I've also read one of Phil's reports and his heading was apparently very good, so I'll cut him some slack.

I blame the bonkers barnet (no pun intended)

Been busy...

Brooke Vincent has revealed she is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kean Bryan.

The Coronation Street star, 26, displayed her baby bump in a new photoshoot for OK! magazine where she opened up about becoming a mother.

Brooke gushed about her other half, Sheffield footballer Kean, 22, who she has been dating since 2016, insisting he will be a 'brilliant dad'.

Most footballers take time off when their missus has the baby, not to make it

Congratulations to the lad... and lass.... and baabi

I made a bold statement about Bryan after the Barnet game and we haven't seen of him since.

Ended up promising to pay a fellow poster £10 if he ever makes 10 league apps for the club. Forget who it was though (not that I'll need to know)
